Like our exhaust sounds good???

Ours sounds worlds better than the projectile sharting you hear from that VAG 2.0T. Good engine, don't get me wrong, and with a few mods in any application, it moves out. But good lord it actually sounds like the aftermath of taco tuesday if it's opened up.

Our exhaust doesn't sound bad. Could it be louder and growl-lier? Yes, but you can always make it better and less restricting with an aftermarket exhaust. I just don't understand it when people make their cars sound like a lawnmower.

Yeah the current gen S3/Golf R exhausts sounds terrible. Definitely a world difference than the glorious sounding R32 Golf

It was the stock exhaust on the car too, at least what I could see. Definitely needs more growl to be considered decent. I know those little things are fairly quick, but he literally launched it and I had no issues staying right with him without even a 100% throttle.

First time since I had my Stinger, I was challenged at the lights.It happened on my way to work at 9:35pm.
A Holden Commodore SS pulled along side, nose in front, he jumped at the green.A passenger in the right rear back seat turned to look at me.
I decided to give it a go, so I put my foot down, the turbo’s kicked in and we were neck and neck.We stayed side to side for a while.I didn’t want to completely floor it as I didn’t want to exceed the speed limit too much.It was a Car load of young guys.
I think he pulled back and I passed and kept going.
If someone pulls back is that a win ?
I don’t normally engage in this activity so I’m not sure but it was a bit of fun.

Having been a ‘young guy’ myself a long time ago I can promise you that right now and for a long time to come these young guys are telling all their mates that the driver was beaten by a chick driving a Kia.

With muffler deletes or the top aftermarket catbacks it sounds great! Nothing like that annoying fart can BS on most of those type of 4bangers.

So I just had a run in with a 2010-2014 late 5th gen Saleen Mustang s281 and we had some fun.

I saw him coming up quickly in my rear view mirror and he switched lanes to pass. I heard his exhaust roar as he sped passed so I punched it myself to keep pace. To my disbelief I slowly started catching up to him and had to change lanes to pass. That’s when I saw the s281 badge on his side. After about a car length lead I let off. He pulled along side me and gave a big thumbs up. I smiled and returned the thumbs up and we parted ways.

Nice to see a Stang give props even though he lost and hope to more encounter cool car guys like him.

Yes it is a matter of opinion and some kids I know still like that loud “fart can” sound, but I’ve had many people say my Stinger sounds similar to a Maserati and that’s simply hard to beat.

Almost every Stang guy I’ve run across (myself included haha) has had positive reactions towards the stinger’s looks and performance. I remember earlier in the year I had a s550 5.0 drive by, take a picture then drive off when I was bone stock/temp tags.

Yea, those 2010's weren't much..they had good power numbers but were slower for the power 0-60 in less than 6 seconds was advertised...now up against a 14 Saleen S302, you would have a real good race on your hands.

That was one S7 owner, but this has been my coworker & owner of a Quattroporte as well as multiple auto enthusiasts I’ve encountered at monthly car shows. They clearly don't know what they're talking about. Like I told you previously; if you want me to point out to you all of the differences in materials and layout I can. Just say the word.

Second, I don't ever remember saying I thought "fart cans" sounded good. That is obviously another one of your opinions that you try to pass off as facts. (Which you do quite often). Quite the opposite actually. I think they sound horrible. I merely stated that our exhausts don't sound great either.

I'm not ripping on Stingers. I've had mine for about 10 months now and am satisfied with it. I don't, however, drink the kool-aid that a lot of members on this board do. And you, my friend, are the kool-aid man.

I’m not going to argue that point again because I already proved you wrong(with facts) and showed you how similar the White leather GT2 is to the 2018 S7, and those that actually know about our cars know we took one of the top Audi designers Peter Schreyer which is another reason why they both look so similar. Another fact...

Also, if you didn’t just interject your negative opinion about our exhausts and actually read where that convo started you’d see we were only comparing to the “fart can” sounding exhaust mentioned above.

And I’ve never had kool-aid so just another thing you’re completely wrong about. But you sure do complain a lot about our Stingers to be “satisfied” and your negativity goes against being a part of the Stinger brotherhood this forum was intended to create. However if you’re so biased you can’t see that the Stinger is an amazing work of art with specs & features that match or surpass premium cars double its price then you’re simply an uniformed hater and your loss...
