• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Australia-Specific Kia Stinger Discussion

lol I work for the Weather Bureau, it's one of those things (like calling the measure of rainfall totals "mills") that get to you...
The weather Bureau don't get things right either......like the weather :p

Ha! It's a common misconception, no one remembers all the times the forecast was good, only the times they were inconvenienced by an inaccurate one: at one stage the Bureau was at something like 87% of the time within 10% of forecasts. Problem now is, as more automation is rolling out, forecast accuracy is beginning to drift out again...but that's a whole other issue that will probably get me disciplined again if anyone sees this comment lol. There was one forecast in WA recently that was 16 degrees off the actual.

Save your money on this Ceramic Coating fascination thats going on around at the moment :p...Every so called detailer has their version of it, who knows what the contents of it are anyway to be honest.
If you use a good brand of polish and proper washing process your car will stay mint condition.. I use
Meguiars Ultimate Liquid Car Wax G18216.
l find this soooo easy to apply and there's no white residue if you get it on your rubbers etc :)...The water beads so easily and not 1 swirl mark in paint...L had a red Navara before this car and it was like glass...and guess what no Ceramic Coating..
Anyway thats my 2 cents worth on the subject, its your car and money so do as you want, Cheers:thumbup:
Done the same with mine..Meguires Ultimate Detailer regularly.

I just got me some of this stuff... any good?
I haven't used a Bowden's Own Snow Cannon or Happy Ending, as I have no place to wash my Stinger by hand , maybe other members have.:)

I use the snow job as a pre wash. Depending on how dirty the car is I’ve also used it as the only wash and just hit it with the pressure cleaner, no hand washing afterwards. It’s pretty good, the car always comes up very nice after using it. Generally I hit it with snow job, let it soak, wash it off with the karcher, then do the 2 bucket thing and hand wash with the detergent they gave me at the dealership, made by the mob that did my paint protection. (Protektiv). Once it’s gone I’ll use Bowdens Own nanolicious car wash. Their products are pretty good

Ha, nice...this is exactly my current process too (and I also have protektiv ceramic)... I used to finish with off with fully slick tho... but I might forgo this step in place of the happy ending application. Hoping it's as good as it sounds on their blurbs.

I too have Protektiv Coating & have now switched over to Nanolicious, it’s great stuff it lasts longer than Protektiv Shampoo, once dry I finish with Fully Slick, cannot recommend Bowdens Own products highly enough.
