• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Australia-Specific Kia Stinger Discussion

I knew it, your still looking for more horsepower.. are you saying the Mustang was already parked there, and didn't take advantage of your park earlier ? maybe another car was parked there and left before you showed up I guess..:)
No, Mustang wasn't there when I arrived to work, it was there when I was leaving. The good thing is because I start work at 7am, there are not many cars there, mostly from night shift workers.

Awesome parking spot Angel but don't have Mustang envy unless it is a late 1960's model. They were the classic standout car.

.....a little to much 'Stang love here, c'mon folks nothing to see here let's move along now...:rofl::laugh:

I do actually prefer the classic Mustangs too, liked " Elenor " in gone in sixty seconds

The 'Stang is a nice idea, and a nice engine, let down by typical shit Ford execution.
Mostly like the sound of the V8 Stangs exhaust, does sound awesome

No 1 parking spot. Well done Flame. Remember that 3 star safety rating on the Mustang before you lust after it.

I won't warn you lot again No more 'Stang talk!
....wheres a moderator when you need one:rofl::rofl:

I am no fan of the Mustang (and it deserves the shit rating) but be careful with the latest ANCAP ratings system, as it is a bit shit.

You can't get 5 stars without things like rear cross traffic alerts, etc. Cars that were previously 5 star cars would now only score 3 stars.

What's worse, it means that cars that crash terribly can get higher scores than they deserve simply by including electronic features that don't help at all when you do suffer a serious accident.

They should have left the ratings the same, and ADDED a star (giving a maximum of 6 stars) for accident avoidance tech.

Agree with what you're saying, I think the ANCAP system is flawed in that the star rating of each car if only applicable to when it was tested.

However the Mustang failed the crash test with poor structural performance, it was awarded 2 stars (16%) in 2017. Then in 2018 driver aids were fitted and even with all the active driving aids it only achieved 3 stars (61%). Pretty poor result even noting the ANCAP systems flaws. https://www.carsales.com.au/editorial/details/ford-mustang-gets-three-star-ancap-rating-113027/

I did own one until recently, it was a nice enough car, got plenty of stares, but the build quality was poor. Paint and panel alignment was the worst I'd seen in a long time. The Coyote V8 engine is also suffering from "rattles" and "ticks" in many cars and Ford are reporting it as normal. Owners are reporting the noise can get so loud that other people notice it at traffic lights. Workshops are stating it is likely piston slap. Bit of a worry. https://www.cjponyparts.com/resources/mustang-engine-tick

It's good to hear this from an ex owner. I was originally interested in getting one when I heard they would be shipped here but the safety rating put me off as did hubby showing me footage of the aftermath of accidents in them. They just about disintegrate on impact.:(

Mods please change title to Australian specific Stang discussions:laugh::laugh::laugh:.

....Anyway I'm sure y'all know that when you see the Pony badge on the rear of the car that indicates that's the 2.3 litre eco tech engine not the 5.0 litre Gt one.......carry on :rofl:
