2.0T Oil Leak... more than a month to fix?

The Stinger is not a luxury car.

There’s a reason why I put the word in quotes.

Kia doesn’t label it as such but everyone else does considering it’s competition, but nice job taking 1 word out of context.

Why are you quoting me? I stated what you said.

Also, depending on the purchasing dealership some have policies that guarantee a loaner for service expected to take longer than a few hours. When you purchase a “luxury” car, the experience doesn’t stop with the initial purchase.

The OP ahead been out of his car for a month. Any reasonable person can see the issue with that.

From your post I quoted. “ They may not be able to put you in another Stinger as a loaner, they should but I don’t know their policies, but they have to do better than a Soul.”

They should. Also, they have to do better than a Soul.

Wasn’t anything towards you by any means, I’ve seen several people say the same things. The loaner thing is dependent on the dealer as you stated, but complaining about a loaner not being nice enough or a Stinger is a little much. It’s a free car to get you around while your car is being fixed under warranty (also for free.)

I could understand that if we weren’t talking about over a month.

But like the OP said, he had a choice of nicer vehicles and CHOSE the Soul for his particular commute. If he wanted to swap cars, since it was an option before, it’s probably an option now.

After about a week, I’d want a vehicle that is at least comparable, in terms of creature comforts — not performance, to what I have in service. I don’t think this is a tough ask for any dealer that offers loaners.

I’m not asking them to grab one off the lot to put me in — that’s a bit much.

You're welcome.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Just a small update- just passed week 5 on Friday, still no word from service... I can barely remember my Stinger at this point

But I got a call from Kia after I requested something be done- maybe like a buyback or they put me in a new Stinger. They said they’d call back in three business days. That was last Monday, so I sent another message asking for an update.

Another update: Kia making things right! (assuming it goes according to plan) So car got fixed after exactly 7 weeks (Edit: might have been 6 weeks... been so long, lost track:)). I got my offer letter- I can accept $5K good gesture, return the car minus everything I've paid into the car (buyback), or replace the car with a similar price or upgrade and pay the difference. Going to think it over the next few days...

As for the oil leak, they gave me a very long written list of what was done- a bit beyond my understanding and I'd have to find the paper to begin to relay the info.
