3.3TT JB4 or Exhaust first?

If I could do it over, I would go:

Catch Can —> Plugs —> JB4 + JB4 Connect —> Intake —> Intercooler —> A BUNCH OF OTHER STUFF

—> Exhaust

In that order.

I bought mbpr exhaust, tsw sprint wheels, tires, injen intake, Eibach springs and Stingerhaus kit at once. Just got in my ark secondaries. The last thing I'm gonna do is the jb4 when he gets all the new plug in adaptors and what not squared away.

Off topic and I’m sure there’s already an existing discussion, why JB4 over Racechip?

The ability to log and view logs, real time communication with the CANBUS, support from Terry (U.S. Based) as opposed to RaceChip (Germany), easy flash upgrades, integration with WMI, maps where detail is provided for what each does, dyno charts for each map, etc.

And this coming from someone who used a RaceChip on another platform and was thoroughly impressed. Given the small price difference between the RaceChip GTS and JB4, it’s a tough sell for the RaceChip.

But yes, there are a few threads on this topic in the tuning sub forum.

All good points. Thanks.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Not only that, but over in the 1/4 mile thread, there doesnt seem to be any meaningful gains right now with a aftermarket exhaust. As for myself, I dont see the exhaust being a restriction till we have better turbos running 25+lbs of boost. Then ill go turbos, intercooler and custom 3" turboback exhaust. Currently waiting on a jb4, intakes, and wmi to arrive, since those literally seem to be the most horsepower per dollar spent, mod wise right now

Just installed my JB4 today (on stock exhaust), so I vote JB4!

Since im right around the corner from you...if you need help just holler...Wash

From me? Edit: Never mind, just saw your location, just realized where it is. Lol

And thanks everyone, I have the JB4 on order and should be here this week hopefully. Along with an intake.

Thanks Wash. The JB4 was pretty straight forward, but it's just the beginning. I think you're quite a few mods ahead of me, I'd love to check out your stinger sometime. (do DFW folks ever do meets/cruise-ins?)

How’s your performance? Considering doing this very thing right now.

Around 420whp/~500bhp and mid-low 12s in the 1/4m with that setup.

Thanks for sharing...Is it ok running that map on 93 octane?

I’m thinking of getting this, ARK GRiP exhaust, Injen CAI, and Eibach F/R sway bars to start. Any thoughts on something I should add?

Yes map2 is made & tuned based on just premium fuel. The dyno results were only using 91 so even better performance on 93.

Maybe BMS catch cans otherwise that’s a great start.

Well just an update on it. I did end up getting the JB4 + Bluetooth, Spark Plugs, Injen Intak, GFB Blowoff Valves. Only thing left I’m waiting on is my Big Mouth ducts, but I’ve been playing with it and running Map 5 with 30% E85 and 93 Octane mixture. And man it’s a world of difference! I want to find a dyno just to see what actual numbers it’s putting down, but have to find an AWD dyno.

Anyway definitely fun, exhaust will be done last maybe or at least closer to the end. And I’ll go ahead and do primaries to get the last bit from it.
