Has anyone changed their engine air filter without removal of the cross brace that lays over the air filter housing? If it requires to be removed, what are the torque specs for that brace for appropriately tightening it down? Thanks in advance.

I dont think you can remove the air filter without also removing the cross braces. I'm sure there may be a torque spec for them, but they arent an item that needs specific tolerances like plugs, etc. Everyone I know just does them 1/4-1/2 past snug.

Thank you for the response! Much appreciated

The braces are hollow aluminum and are simple radiator supports, they dont offer any kind of significant structural support for the chassis so handtight with a ratchet is just fine.

Awesome information! Thank you! Do you happen to know the size of the bolt head? (I am not currently near my car)

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
No, you'll need a 12mm socket for the braces.
