Pretty sure it isn't "the event", but it could be the same road? Why not? As of October last year - and the Koenigsegg Agera holding the top speed record for fastest production car, ever (at c. 285) is older than that, or I am much mistaken? - the average speed record on St Rt 318 during the Silver State Classic is just over 219 MPH; which will only be broken if a car surpasses 245 MPH: so, putting that together, if the Koenigsegg Agera had set the speed record during the Silver State Classic, the average speed record on St Rt 318 would be considerably higher than 219 MPH!?
It’s all confusing to me. The Agera did the run in the last year. I’m sure there’s a video on YouTube as I’ve seen something about it. So I’m not sure, unless it’s class based, it just simply is t the Agera record. Seeing the car was a bit of a thrill. I didn’t ask but assume, it was the car. They also were showing the new Jesko in the same tent.

Since Southeastern USA seems to be the winner, can we start voting on cities next?

I suggest Orlando if in the south, Atlanta if further north, or New Orleans if further west. Big cities with lots of events and things to do for tourists to make it more appealing for more people.

can't go wrong with orlando. there's plenty to do around here.

I’m down for Virginia or North Carolina.
I hear ya and guess it depends on what qualifies as "Southeastern" USA. Typically NC is the most northern state in the official SE(Southeastern United States - Wikipedia), but either way NC is about halfway in between us and may still be possible for me and other FL Stingers.

Orlando is great and gives ya more than one reason to come down and spend a weekend.. plus all the hotels are very reasonable for the most part. Just look on idrive and your golden

VA or DC would work :)
If it was going to be held up north or the Mideastern US then those would be good spots, but people already voted for SE so NC is about as north as you can get before its physically further north than south.

yup that La Quinta Inn Ft Laud North ...................all hookers , pimps and drug dealers ..................had to stay there once going on a Cruise ................"DON'T stay there !!!!:eek::)

Same here....can’t put on a ton of miles driving down to Florida. Can do a few hundred miles, but that’s about it.
Agreed I’m coming from NY plus hotels are cheaper there compared to Orlando because everybody wants to go to Disney when you go there.

I always considered Virginia as being the moat northern “Southern” state. Richmond, Va is definitely a southern city in my book.

Lol, well I guess thats relative to wherever you live. There are many variations of whats actually considered to be the Southeastern US. The commonly used definition & majority of regional maps include North Carolina as the most northern state in the SE.

Also, if you use real mileage Orlando FL to Washington DC(30mi from Fairfax VA) is about 850miles. If you cut that in half, or about 425 miles that's the exact distance from Orlando to Atlanta GA. Fairfax VA to Charlotte NC is about 390mi, and Orlando to Charlotte is about 530mi or another 2hrs+.

So to be as close to the middle as possible Atlanta seems about right, but nothing further north than Charlotte NC to stay fair to us Floridians.;)

Thats right, Virginia is a southern state!
This is hilarious. A few, now, are talking about "Southern" location based on the ACW instead of geography.

Southeast? If not Kia-hosted at their plant in Alabama, how about the Tail of the Dragon??
