Parking Space Rage

Some mid priced cars have it too. Under 35k
You wouldn't happen to know c. how much the feature costs extra? I'm guessing c. three thousand or more.

nope can’t help you on that one , Mr google will know. Normally it’s not offered as an extra to buy the car just has it.

Considering how many cars have 360 degree cameras and sonar, steer by wire, throttle by wire and autonomous braking, the integration of automatic parking is simply programming since the core functions of this feature already exist (accelerating, braking, steering and sensing).

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
What I find amazing is that despite all the gizmos the Stinger has there is no auto park feature.

The ability to reverse park is the last male bastion. The day I let my car park itself willl be the same day I sit down to piss.

I still forget to use the 360 camera, 37 years driving without it. One member here reminds me when he sees my head stuck out the window when parking.

Bad habit no.2. Putting the car in neutral at the lights.

Bad habit no.3 for forgetting to put the climate control on to stop the heater core pipe let scolding temps around my feet.
Why didn't they put insulation there! - The heater core pipe runs along the transmission tunnel on the drivers side on RH drives.

I think around $400 on a Focus.

I think we have two different kinds of auto park here: "improvised" and dedicated. The auto park that has steering rear wheels designed into it is a completely different animal from "programming" what is already there to do the parking for you (not for "us", as I am totally onboard with @OliverNuther on this one. :D). Dedicated auto parking features have to cost a ton more than four hundred dollars. (And I am not going to take the time to look this up with Google Fu. At least not right now.)

Put some of that sound dampening stuff in the area where the heat is coming from to insulate it.

why is this a bad thing? If I'm waiting anywhere for a longer than expectd time I always slip it into neutral.....why keep the tranny hydraulics active?!

What I've learned to do now is use the auto hold button instead of going into neutral.

oh snap!! My base came without the ''hold'' button........actually one of the few things I could live without, lol

If the car idles long enough (five minutes, I believe), it will automatically quit auto hold and go into Park.

yeah not for the base models......ours needs to be shifted.
