Today I was bored so I thought I would post a quick demo of a new wax I decided to try out. The wax is by a Japanese company called Soft99. I first heard of them through the product called fusso which is a 12 month wax that a lot of people really like for it's hydrophobic properties. Upon reviewing it I noticed another wax that they had was rated by them to have more gloss than the fusso but you have to apply it more frequently.

After applying it I noticed that I could blow dry the car, whereas previously I could not with the Collinite 915 wax I was using. The video below is a week later unwashed, so some of the hydrophobic properties are lost probably due to it being dirty. I will post a video tomorrow after I wash it to demonstrate the drying process.

Cool. One of these days I’ll try the new McGuire’s hybrid ceramic wash/wax. Also very hydrophobic I’ve read.

I’ve recently tried chemical guys lava paste wax (for metallic/bright finishes).

Easy to apply via RO. Easy removal (which normally isn’t the case with most waxes/pastes as any oil/residue is obvious and needs to be cleaned off).

So far the finish is ridiculously wet and glossy. Slightly better than what I’ve used before (McGuire’s ultimate paste/liquid, tecwax 2.0 (sealant), jet seal (sealant), Mother’s, etc).

I don’t anticipate this to last longer than a month or two (as it isn’t a sealant)... but I enjoy the finish so far.

I have ceramic pro on my Stinger but I put the Meguiar’s hybrid on my GF’s car and as far as hydrophobic it works well. But to get the shine you’ve got to do a more traditional polish first.

Soft 99 has great stuf and their Fusso wax is amazing. Been using it for years and will not go with anything else.

I posted a lengthy video of the products I use washing my car. In particular there is a clip of me using the leaf blower to dry my car.

I pulled the video, it needs to be redone.

Sorry about the video quality, it was difficult to film due to the glare. I couldn't see what I was filming...lol

Does Kiwami wax have a strong smell/odor? I've used Soft99 Fusso wax in the past. Great water beading. The only thing I didn't like about it was the strong smell while using the product. Definitely need to have the garage door and windows open.

I've switched to P&S Bead Maker recently. I use it as a topper for OPT Gloss Coat and as a drying aid after every wash. I can't say if it is significantly glossier than Fusso wax but there's a lot of recent support online.

It didn't seem that strong, however it is noticable. I haven't opened my can of fusso yet to compare.

I will definitely check out the product you mentioned.

I’ve been using Adams Guard and Gloss (as shown in the video) for about a year now and the gloss and beading is really good. It also seems to last at least a couple months. I like how you can apply it to a wet car as I dislike using drying towels on my paint but this stuff seems to absorb the water and makes drying towels unnecessary. Rub it on wet and buff to a shine.

I use the reload on my other car that has the ceramic coating and it turned out amazing. I learned that I should not use the v07 on that car, it seemed to almost gum up on the cquartz coating. The reload needs to be levelled as it really streaks, but impressed me with the results. Do you have to buff out the p&s?

From the video the adams product was the most interesting to me.

Give it a shot. It’s pricey but a bottle lasts a long time. It really works well on the Stingers black chrome trim and all of the glass we have as well.

I usually spray on and buff off with Bead maker. I agree Reload works great with ceramic coated cars. It's supposed to refill the coating as it ages.

Here’s a couple photos of the car post Adams guard and gloss. I think the gloss is pretty impressive on a relatively flat colour.

A few months ago, I used Torque Detail's Mirror Shine on my 2012 Kia Optima. The beading and gloss have lasted far longer than any other product I have ever used. My car, with 112,000 miles on it, looks as good as new. Just spray it on and wipe it off with a microfiber towel - no scrubbing or buffing needed. Mirror Shine™ - Super Gloss Hybrid Wax Spray & Sealant (16oz Bottle)

If I happen to get any stone chips in the paint, I use Dr. Color Chip for an easy and invisible repair.

Dr colour chip is about it as it’s very hard to find now even on net.

I've always had fantastic luck with Turtle wax. Their new paste is very easy to apply, and leaves a terrific shine IMG_20190526_174122.webp
