For a rare change we have been experiencing some warm weather here recently. As a result I have been using the ventilated seats, I noticed the following when using them:

1. The outermost front section of the base doesn't seem to be ventilated at all
2. It isn't very powerful even on the strongest setting.

Is that what others experience or could mine be faulty?

From my experience that is operating as expected. Unfortunately it is very weak. I guess that is the difference in Ventilated which we have and Cooled that other vehicles have.

Have you experienced no.1 as well?

Sorry I have not been that specifically targeted in my disappointment. I will try and check today on the way home from work to see if I can notice a difference from the middle to the outside front in airflow.

I would have thought the back would be the priority not the base.

I guess that depends on which parts you need air to, the back, or the jiggly parts!

May pay to check under the seat that everything is connected properly.

Let us know.. ive read another thread that sometimes theres still delivery plastic stuck under the seat preventing the blower to blow the ventilated seats..

Most ventilated seats don't blow air hard enough to even feel it with your hand. The point is to cool the seal surfaces and help with avoiding perspiration, etc. The Stinger's seats work like most of the others I've had (Lexus, Infiniti, Acura, other Kias), although the infinitis did cool more efficiently than Kia vehicles. The seats in my Infiniti M56 would make you feel like you'd spilled a glass of ice water in your lap.

I used my Stinger seat coolers earlier today, and I enjoy them.

Exactly, what I experience daily.

I actually thought it worked pretty well, better than the Flex anyway

Three things that seem to help; keep the perforations clear by vacuuming, make sure there's nothing under the seat that could stop air from circulating, and set A/C to face and floor (the extra air blowing under the seat helps keep it cool).

I have had other vehicles with "cooled" seats, which at best were marginal. I didn't expect much from Kia's "ventilated" seats, so I hadn't even tried them. Went on a long trip today and it's over 100ºF outside, so I turned them on and discovered - 1 light = quite comfortable, 2 lights = a bit chilly, 3 lights = painful. And it doesn't just cool the seat seat, the seat back is also cooled clear up to the headrest. I'm guessing the seat back was around 42º F??? When I get home, I'll use the laser thermometer and see what it is after a 20 minute run and update this with the results.

BTW The dog likes the vents blowing in his face and I like it on my feet, so that's how mine normally operates and was for the above experience.

As summer started early here, I am repeatedly reminded how effective the seat vent system is on my Stinger, compared to other vehicles - including my 2015 Sorento.

It was friggin hot today, but forgot about turning the ventilated seats. The couple of times I've used it so far, it's so-so. But it wasn't super hot at the time.
