I use the Radenso XP. It is the best detector i have used to date. It filters out all the other cars out there and for the random store k band radars you encounter there is a GPS lock out for that location.

That does look pretty good. I've never even heard of the brand name before...I use the Radenso XP. It is the best detector i have used to date. It filters out all the other cars out there and for the random store k band radars you encounter there is a GPS lock out for that location.
Me either caught a video on YouTube about 5 best radars. Then did some research and started to compare. The gps lock out sold me. But i also love how the filter all the BMW, Audi and other radars on the road. That does look pretty good. I've never even heard of the brand name before...
1) hardly any cops use radar, most have moved to laser. Yes I know that most detectors can detect laser but by then it's too late. It's locked on by that point and they got you.
Trust me, all these theories and tricks and techniques you guys are throwing around DON'T WORK against an officer running LIDAR. Outside of an active jammer, which are 100% illegal in the U.S. and WILL get you arrested, the only real way of beating the laser is observant driving of traffic up ahead so that you can slow down before you get into the optimal range of being targeted.
What we really need is radar detector detector detectors... I just thought of a new idea for a website.![]()
Just noting that I tried Waze with Android Auto in my car and it's really great! This is going to change things for the Waze app and community BIG time - because now it's extremely easy to mark locations with the various options - where as before, it was dangerous to do so. I guess unless you had your phone propped up on the dash - but most people don't have that. Now it's a no brainer to use Waze while driving...
So is it safe to assume that using Waze via AA does not work seamlessly with the head's up display navigation? i.e. Is the HUD navigation prompts only displayed when using the car's native navigation. I'm planning to get a GT2 and it sounds like using Waze might be prudent, but just wondering how well integrated it is in the Stinger.
Correct, waze directions will not be displayed on the hud. I end up doing both, car nav and waze via aa, this way car nav shows on the HUD and I can keep track of traffic and other things via AA/waze on the main screen.

Here's a nice article on the legality and use of laser jammers.
Are Laser Jammers Illegal or Legal in the US? Police Laser Jammer Laws
Dude I could have sworn you corrected me 2 months ago. I was confusing radar jammer with laser jammers. You win, sheesh. Please cite your source for laser jammers being 100% illegal in the US. Only radar jammers are illegal, not laser jammers.

Thanks. So do you start the native car navigation and then launch AA and start Waze and leave it like that? Or do you have to put your destination into Waze too?
Also, how easy (or cumbersome) is it to do other things on the screen while AA is running? i.e. Does the AA/Waze pretty much have to stay visible on screen in order to function?
Sorry for all the Qs![]()
Even the positive reviews are riddled with the irritating false alarms that driver assist sensors in our vehicles cause. Since most vehicles are going to come with sensors as standard equipment, I see no use for a device that is constantly sounding off with false alerts.Costco has this on sale for $249. Thoughts?
