Stinger Winter Tires

Did you end up getting a Stinger

Paid for this one. They included tinting and paint protection. At the moment it's being de-badged, and Sal's Stinger emblem is going on the back.... The way the weather is in Ontario, I have not taken possession yet.

red interior

No, wife decided the "black" - which is really a darker grey - looks more uniform with the paint. She thought that red would look too "chopped up" , if you know what I mean.... I was fine with either way ....
The car looks amazing.
I am now trying to get FC04 staggered rims from the manufacturer with the car's delivery. I ordered Michelin Pilot A/S Sport 3+ from Costco. But the weather and holidays are really screwing up the timing.

So youre going to run 18 AS for the winter ? and stock 19s for Summer ?

Especially if there are three cruises waiting for you .... We'll be back middle of March :)
Hey , we are cruising from Ft Laud back to Vancouver in March too !

No, 19s all the way. I still have a car with snow tires, and who will buy staggered take-offs? I am not giving them away. Might as well have fun with them. As they say : In for a Penny...

I've got my stock tires for sale for 1200 , a few bites at around 1000 , they'll go in the Spring , replacement is 1400 + tax so I can wait . I sold all my staggered R/F from my BMW s no problem ........

Now, let's brainstorm the vent intakes. Plug them or spray with PAM, RainX, RustCheck spray - what would be a good solution?

My caveman solution is to just push it out with a stick.

Nice, you got it from the same dealer as me. :)

I wasn't trying to impugn steel wheels as a solution. I was just saying they don't work for me because I prefer lighter wheels at all times.

We have a cold, snowy winter here. My dates for snow tires are 11/12 through 4/15 (picking those dates is it's own entertaining story). So I have them on for five stinking months. I won't autocross or race on them, of course. But I do like to drive in a spirited fashion when and where I can. And, to me, the difference between heavy and light wheels is shocking. A lot of that comes from having driven very light vehicles (2,500lbs) for many years.

ALL that said, however, I've done the steel wheels before - for AUTOCROSSING! LOL Back when I couldn't afford wheels I actually ordered R-compound tires on steel wheels from Tire Rack for my '87 Shelby CSX. Crazy, I know. But I was tired of taking 2nd place in my Goodyear Gatorbacks! Full disclosure: I still came in 2nd. My competition was just a fantastic driver!
