Fueling upgrade in the works? - Tork Motorsports

I've run 19 - 20 PSI with no noticeable issues but i don't run ethanol. Lap3 also does 19.x on their highest tune.

Admittedly I didn't watch the video, but it sounds like narrowest point within the fuel bucket is 3.6mm based on the replies here? Depending on the fuel pressure and how long fuel has to travel along the narrowest point it may or may not be significant.

I still think the first step towards evaluating the fuel system is to get low pressure logging active so we can confirm the higher power high fuel pressure drops we see are preceded by a low fuel pressure drop. And better evaluate low fuel pressure overall even in situations where high pressure isn't cratering.
Terry Seems like the kind of guy to watch his competitor's video and say he didn't watch the video, but indirectly comment on the competitor video..........JK

How high of boost are you able to push the car with without meth? I think most are reporting 18PSI? I know some have hit 20+ but that was with meth correct?

The stock turbos stop making power around 18psi at least with the factory supporting hardware. With downpipes, IC, etc, *maybe* they'll continue to add more power up to 19-20psi. Running 21psi on factory hardware resulted in no more power than 18psi in our testing.

For those on stock turbos if the low pressure system turns out to be the limiting factor maybe with an upgrade you could run 50% E85 instead of 30% E85, for example.

I'm stretched thin lately. I'll take a photo and a two sentence cliff notes version over an 11 minute video any day. And spend the extra 10 minutes 45 seconds interacting with you guys. :)

For me WMI is not a option, I’ve run it on other cars and do not want to install on my stinger. Having a bit more fuel for higher E85 and boost would be a huge bonus.

Just curious as to why you don't want to run WMI? I have 0 experience with it and have been considering it so I am curious to hear your thoughts.

My 300zx had one of the newer snow performance kits years ago and was nothing but problems with leaks. That car needed to nozzles on for each bank and needed a T and kept leaking drove me nuts. My second kit on my 240 gave me zero issues was making 650hp at 32psi on crappy Canadian gas haha. I don’t want to do it on my stinger because if there’s any issues with the car having WMI will be much harder to take out fast if needed. I’ve already modded this car more then I thought I was going to so I have to draw the line somewhere....

Thanks for the information.

Can relate - I went a little further than I wanted to on my old 370z so I restrained myself heavily on my last car (Audi S3). I keep telling myself not to touch the Stinger since summer / motorcycle weather is right around the corner anyway

The BMS kit uses compression fittings, they are leak proof. With the PNP adapter entire kit goes in and out in 30 min.

What’s about the routing of the fuel lines tru the car ? Does that go out in 30 min ?

All via interior, really easy. Plan for an hour the first time. Then maybe 20 min to install or remove after that.

deleted sorry for anyone that saw that my stupid brother.

Weird. I have a stage 3 kit and nothing wrong with leaking. Where was it leaking from ?

Any place that had a fitting. The 300zx has two throttle body’s so it’s uses a T. That was the main spot it would leak and also fittings before the jets. They have probably change that style of plastic fitting by now.

I was gonna say, mine aren’t plastic.

Use with annealed copper, aluminum, and thermoplastic tubing where excessive vibration or tube movement is not involved. "

Guys if you want to make sure your compression fittings wont leak use the above insert into the tubing before you assemble the fitting....the ferrule can not crush the tubing when too much tightening occurs.. ive been using these for many many years....Ive always called them "hose dills" got that from the plumbing manager at the baddest azz hardware store in my neck of the woods.....the easiest thing to do with tubing and compression fittings is to over tighten......this lil 10 cent insert buys you piece of mind ! no leaks ever again ... :) Wash
