So I assume that a kink won’t hurt the car.You can also remove the recirc hoses entirely and get a cap from hope depot and cap off the intake side
I'm pretty sure you have to trim that hose for most intakes. Is that much kink going to hurt the car, I don’t want to cut Incase I have to go back to OEM
I’m curious though, if everyone is having this pinched hose, why did Ap design it with that angle? Are they planning to correct on newly manufactured models? Why didn’t they cap it off to begin with if it needed? You can also remove the recirc hoses entirely and get a cap from hope depot and cap off the intake side
Yeah your going to have to cut that hose in order to fit right ... I would start by cutting 1 inch off first then go from there .... yeah man this happens unfortunately it sucks .... I am curious if your hood closes flush ? Any other issues you ran into .... I got lucky because I have my BOV venting to the atmosphere ...Called and spoke to agency, got them on. Just a tight fit in a tight space. Now I have a kinking issue, why can’t things go right?
Haven’t tried to close the hood I’ll let you knowYeah your going to have to cut that hose in order to fit right ... Lol please let me know ASAP .... for the recirculated host just remove them entirely and have the BOV vent to the atmosphere ... contact AP and have them send you the 2 caps to plug the intake with ... they include those with there BOV ... explain your issue and the should send to you at no cost .... hope this helps ... as far as the engineers now a days not just AP ... I have no comment I might incrimitate myself and fellow colleagues being and Engeneer myself .... no comment I am still wondering why didn’t they close the hood at RD and testing lol .... might be just me thou so don’t mind my comments lol ...Haven’t tried to close the hood I’ll let you know

Inquiring minds want to know.
Maybe I am an isolated issue ... again is minor not a big deal .... but I agree with Nick just vent them to the atmosphere ... they sound better like that anyways ..Havent had anyone else report issues of their hood and weve sold close to 25 sets
The pinched hose is coming from it being too long compared to the stock intake tube
The kinking has been apparent on just about every intake system other than stock
Ive noticed it to some degree on STILLEN, INJEN, KN, etc
The tubes are to recirc the bov back into the intake
They are not required and you can set even the stock BPV to vent to atmosphere

I am done wiggling and playing with the tubes lol .... my hood is slightly up and is staying that way .....but I did what you told me to remove the rubber grommets and that helped with me readjusting the tubes .... again I have wiggled enough it is what it is ... I am happy with the productI purposely put the rubber grommets on the drivers side to see if that affected the hood. NOPE! Then I added to the passenger side. It definitely hits the seal around the cover, but that is a good thing.
It appears the passenger side is fine, driver side is a TINy bit raised, I’ll mess with it later. I’m over it for now.
Honestly I can’t tell.
I’ll try it out. That is definitely raised. Mine sits perfectly flat. Did you ensure you tightened the mounting bolts until the washer quit spinning. It get a little hard to crank but you have to keep going until it's actually tight!
I’ll try it out.
BUT....
Holy shit I drove it down the road. It’s a lot louder than I imagined. I’ve never owned a car with aftermarket anything and Jesus Christ it’s like a jet turbine. Ok maybe a bit hyperbole but wow. I will have to be easy with the wife in the car but man, that’s nuts
I can’t imagine what noises people with the BOV venting to the atmo must be hearing.
hows it feel
I mean feels good, gotta let the ECU adjust a bit. No idea how long I’ll keep these on, wife may not like the noise.

Could always return the wife and keep the intakes
