The hells wrong with you man??

I don’t care if it’s 3 am. Get out there and install this F’R.

Also... I’d like to know if you get any nice intake sound (hear the turbos, etc) more with this setup. Looks fun.

Same, can't wait to watch the install video and hear your impressions. My initial thoughts are that the filters are a tad small, probably a necessity to get them to fit into this design.

That’s my hesitation too, the small filters. Although I don’t know from an empirical standpoint if that will have much of a negative impact.

Holy moly those look small. I have some in the mail. Look much smaller in these pics than others. Kind of kicking myself for choosing them over the SSR now. Maybe that explains the bit lower dyno numbers? I did look at the dyno and I swear it’s more than the 12hp they advertise on their site. Any opinions?

That intake looks awesome. I’m still not sold though the oem intake looks well designed from factory. Those small filters almost look smaller then the oem style. I wonder how the intakes will sound they might hold in my sound then the other intakes available.

Are the air filters dry or oiled....Thanks

Looks like a quality intake but as pointed out I do find the filters to be really small looking.

I also don't agree that plastic eliminates heat soak, it just changes the characteristics of the heat soak.
I do like the design though. Probably in my top 3. Filters are small.

Changes the characteristics of the heatsoak? You need to go read up on it, its pretty cut and dry what materials contribute or don't contribute to heatsoak, its not really something thats up for debate, its scientifically proven.

Hello everyone, the filters do seem small but I am not sure they will effect performance. The design and quality are amazing the pictures dont do justice at all, you have to seem them in real life lol.....These bad boys should reduce IAT temps and they should flow a lot better than the DIY intakes and i believe we are splitting hairs over the smaller filters... I have bad news gentleman .... My car got recalled for the wire harness...I just got back from the garage and I took off the intercooler, BOV, DIY intakes and JB4. I only left the Down pipes and muffler deletes. I will most likely take the muffler deletes off tomorrow. I am freaking out about taking the car to the dealers. Tomorrow morning I will take off the muffler deletes and just for you guys if i have time i will install the intakes lol and make the video. My appointment is Friday January 4th so probably will be delayed till then. I might just install the JB4 and intakes to get IAT temps for you guys. Let see if time permits...I am pissed right now, i cant stop looking at these intakes...but seriosly i think these are the best intakes out ...lets not get carried away by dyno numbers we all know these can be skewed from shop to shop....once your modded with other bolt ons i seriously dont think it makes a difference but these being plastic and having this awesome heat shield should reduce heat soak and IAT temps pretty good.

Point me to the science. Plastic heats and cools slowly, aluminum quickly. They both get hot, they both heat soak. Plastic heat soak will last longer than aluminum but take longer to soak.
This depends on the plastic used as some plastics heat properties are closer to metals says the engineer i discussed this with.

Im not going to waste my time running around Googling for you when you can easily do it yourself. The turbos get very hot and will always transfer more heat more quickly to aluminum intake piping than plastic on a turbo car. Go read up on it. If the car never moved and just sat there sure it might not make a difference but air is entering the bay to cool things down when you're moving and aluminum is a much better conductor of heat.

Congrats Angel, You should paint everything first. I think the contrast would look great.
I though about that actually a great idea, but its to cold now. Once the summer hits, maybe early April I will be painting it. Not sure what color thou? was thinking ceramic silver like the car , also paint my OCC...Any thoughts on color combinations?
