How many times a day do you visit the forum?

More than I want to admit...lol

I'm pretty obsessed with this car and the community right now. When I had my BMWs, I never signed up for any forums like bimmerfest etc. But when i heard about the stinger and found this site, I signed up immediately. I'm not sure how long this will last but I'll always be around to read and share what I can.

You LITERALLY took the words out of my mouth, just replacing "BMW's" with "60's GM cars" and "eg Civics" lol!!!

Digging through the old threads on this board. What does that tell you? :P

I came here with a question. Prior to that I had my Stinger for three months and never even considered looking for a forum about "our" car. I'm not really a social Medía aficionado (you wouldn't know it by my post count, of course).

This is quite literally the only forum I frequent at all. And I come here for hours a day, broken up into several "sessions", interspersed with family stuff and driving my car (which is often the same thing). I'd estimate the average time I spend per day throughout the week is c. four to five.

My internet time is also spent composing a weekly email to my family, day by day (i.e. an online diary of sorts), and reading Neewz headlines (rarely do I open a page and read it; mostly it is just clickbait, but the collection of headlines - their very character - is informative in itself).

I check my email often throughout the day. And when new posts from the Stinger Forum appear, I open them and read all the new posts, and respond to some of them: usually with a reaction icon, but sometimes with a text (and pictures if applicable). I've started a few threads, but that is fairly rare. When I have read the last "New Post", I move to the link for the "New Posts" page and check to see if any new threads of interest have been started. I try to welcome each newbie as s/he arrives.

And here I am paging through this thread wondering “where is Merlin”? Here you are!! I don’t know if I’m envious or empathetic for the time you spend here. But it is a good outlet and good to enjoy our “hobby”. Keep it up.

I accidentally fell on the forum because I was first looking at the Stinger store.I started reading some of the threads and didn't post or ask questions for a while, in fact a message popped up saying " welcome flameangel, you don't have much to say do you? " lol, the reverse is probs true now.I visit the site a couple of times a day or so, less when I am working. I have found a lot of helpful info on here that's helped me with future decisions. About a month go I walked into a dealership with a friend, we were checking out the three Stingers in their yard. Not sure if it's a common perception that male car dealers think women know next to zero about cars.He greeted us enthusiastically and said " this is a fantastic car, voted the best this year" then went on to point to a white Stinger and said " this is the top spec GT " I looked and said " I don't think so, It doesn't have the Brembo brakes " he quickly pointed to the blue one and advised " sorry, that's must be the Gt ". He took us inside and quickly palmed me off to another guy stating " he knows much more about Stingers than I do " It was a black one, we looked around it, sat in it and I was looking at the tyres, I asked " towards the end of the year, the stinger is getting the Michelin sport 4 tyres aren't they ?'', another guy came up and said " I think so " then there were three of them looking at the tyres, one saying '' their the continentals, I don't know why it's got continentals " so basically, I think they try to pull the wool over us females and will sell us " anything "

Agreed. I tend to think that car salespeople are sales first and cars second, if at all.

When i was buying i knew more than the dealership. Thats still the same today as i know more about some issues than they do. The dealer didnt even offer to show me thru all the features on pickup day as they assumed i knew everything. Spend 65k and you get diddly squat. Spend 27k on a i30 SR and they are all over u, go figure.
