Merry Christmas everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am the proud owner of the LAP3USA Pro Tuner, and wanted to take a minute to share a review of a fuel additive I have been using. A fantastic fellow Stinger owner suggested I try Boostane Premium fuel additive! I run my Pro Tuner on mode-2 (new APP) most of the time and struggle with poor fuel quality at the pumps! Well, to get ideal performance from the Pro- Tuner, I have to run 4-5 gallons of e85 with the rest of the tank. I have been testing the Boostane Premium .5 of a 16oz. can, and can attest to great results!! I don't hear any signs of audible detonation, and I am on my 2nd tank of fuel, blended with .5 can of the Boostane Premium 16oz. can. I just wanted to share my personal experience with the product, so we all can enjoy these cars without the nasty enemy of detonation. I will also say this, in approximately 500 more miles, I will pull the HKS plugs, and do a updated review. For those who want to know, I bought an 8 pack off Amazon for 135$. The Cans are 16oz each. This is not at all expensive when you realize you get 16 tanks of fuel treatment in 1 box.

when you pull the plugs they will be very very brown. dont be alarmed, thats an additive they add in. the boostane "professional" works wonders using a half of a 32oz can. checked logs after and AFR and timing were much smoother on the higher power Tunes. tested it on the boostane "premium" and it had minor differences compared to "professional", but either way the stuff really works great.

So now you're using an e85 mix plus boostane? Or straight 93 plus boostane? If it's straight 93, why would you use this over an e85 mix?

I've used it before and it works pretty well, all of the MMT based octane boosters do! Good alternative for those not able to get E85. But if you do have E85 access, go with that instead. MMT turns everything orange and shortens the life of the spark plugs, sometimes as much as 50%.

Hey guys, been away from Forums for a few... If some was asking, do I only run e85 blend, or boostane blend... my answer is, I mix it up and run both mixes in between fill ups. I don't mix e85 with boostane, however... I do believe you can if you like... I am just running the e85 blend, or boostane blend because that is what is required to get max power from poor fuel blends in my area..hope this helps someone on here

what car are you data logging? are you running the professional .5 can in the Stinger with the Pro- Tuner?

Boostane can and will shorten life of plugs and associated combustion parts.....MMT is whats doing the damage........if you cant get satisfactory results from your e85....its best to pump the brakes and slow down a bit and do a lil more research rather than reading advertisements about how great that crap is for your internals ....Wash

Good afternoon everyone!

Just wanted to chime in here with my feedback on the Boostane Premium fuel additive. I am on my 4th tank of fuel with this additive, and so far things are still well. I don't hear any signs of audible detonation and the ambient temps here have fluctuated between 32'f - 70'f.
I think in my personal experience, I am very satisfied with this product! I will be pulling the plugs soon and checking the gaps also while I have them out. I will enclose pictures also of the tips of the plugs. Stay safe everyone!! Also will be finishing up the ceramic coating process of the entire vehicle! I did get off target schedule due to work load increase from employment.

Can you update us regarding your continued use of Boostane and any issues you've run into 5 months later.

Thank you!

All is well guys. Still no issues! Just been busy with work and haven’t pulled plugs to look at them. I also still utilize 4 gallons of e85 blend per tank every few months just to use that option as well.

This is crazy how people say MMT is detrimental to your motor. I have heard the same thing about e85. People say that using e85 blend is corrosive and leads to dirty internals as well. I wish all
This info all over the place wasn’t so negative about things.

I don’t think the information is all over the place. Each is correct, when scoped accordingly. I believe most information lacks context.

For example, there’s no denying that E85 burns cleaner, it’s a proven fact. However, when E85 is used in a fuel system that it was not designed for, and left sitting in fuel lines and the fuel tank, over time it will corrode.

The E30 (93 octane + E85) is heavily diluted from pure E85 and therefore is significantly less likely to cause any corrosion or long term issues associated with leaving E85 in systems that were not designed for it.

Even pump gas has some MMT in it, but the levels are significantly lower than Boostane. MMT in and of itself is not detrimental to the engine. It is detrimental to the engine’s components. Prolonged use of any product with significant levels of MMT (Boostane, Torco, etc.) will lessen the life of spark plugs and leave an orangish residue on internal components. Now, if someone wanted to use some Boostane or Torco for an occasional trip to the race track, there’s no issue there. But as an additive for daily driving, that’s where the issue can crop up.

Think about it like this, if the spark plugs are intended to last 100,000 miles, and let’s say hypothetically that the daily usage of an MMT additive shortens their lifecycle by 50%, is that a terribly bad thing? I don’t think so. However, the question then becomes what else had its lifecycle potentially shortened? If the only downside is an orange coating on internals you’ll never see, and that won’t impact reliability or reduce usability, and a shorter spark plug lifecycle, I don’t see any issue with it.

Yea, all is well. It cost money and parts to go fast. So no complaints here. You can actually stop using the additives every so often and just drive the car on stock mode, with standard 93 fuel. The orange sentiment on the plugs actually goes away. I am actually going to be doing some future testing with my Boostane content per tank. I am actually gonna dial it back to 4oz. Per tank of fuel and see how the plugs change or lighten up some. I will keep all posted on this thread. It’s gonna be months out, because I am going to compile several variables of what I am going to monitor. Bottom line is, I still just love this car! I am absolutely blown away at how it hauls ass with the Pro Tuner and the suspension upgrades I have done. I could not be happier with it!!

Stock plugs photos for context. After 15000 miles...

Ran into a couple of fellas at Cecil County Dragway earlier tonight and they were using Boostane. They both raved about it. Talked about how it helped with ignition timing as well as boost. I have been tuned on one of my cars (Not Stinger) but have not tested it at the track.

You guys that have used Boostane.....what are your before and after results from using it at the track? I'm talking about the difference in your 1/4 mile time and trap speeds. Thanks!
