I'm legitimately trying to get my mom into a 2.0 Premium AWD and out of her moneypit '07 328i. She'd love it! These cars are honestly good enough that anyone can drive them. :)

Who are the badass gramps and grandmas driving around in stingers?!?!
For me I have always looked at Stinger as being sort of a grandpa car with a dash of sporty spice attitude. Based on G80 entry level luxury car platform. Big long wheel base, soft suspension, daring but safe styling with a hatchback - grandpas love practical, decent power but not too much to scare grandma. Only offered in automatic. Lots of driving nannies to keep everything under control from gramps, Comes in colors sporty spice grandpas like, metallic red and blue. Hell they have 70 year old grandpas in their commercials as guys selling the cars.

Lol. My wife looked at the pic of Albert Biermann in the brochure and laughed and said, "This car is just made for guys your age. Look at him smiling. What a sales pitch." :D

But obviously the numbers on both polls (two threads now) don't agree with you; younger drivers like the Stinger far more than 65+.

Well, this has been disorienting: having the new post pulled over to the older one that I found and bumped. Now the bump is to this post from this post. Heh.

I see now that the reason for the weighted younger age owners is because that age group is more internet savvy and focused. The older Stinger drivers are too busy out driving their cars. I am an aberration. :P

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
My sense is that when you're "younger" brand image and peer perception are far more important factors in selecting a "vehicle" particularly as "enthusiasts"....................it's this sense that makes me believe that Kia has a real homerun on their hands with the Stinger , they have been able to bridge the rationale factor to emotional with this car , the younger owners are truly passionate and have strong emotions about this car . Many of the "older" owners have landed here based on a graduation from happy ownership from lesser Kia vehicles or from another segment of Premium car owners that see the real value of the Stinger and are not overly concerned about brand imagery ..................... This car has more than achieved the objectives that Kia set out for it !

I could see that, I've had several older guys (60+) come up to me to compliment the Stinger, that's never happened in the past with other cars.

It's a good demographic to aim for, that's where most of the money is. Lol. 28 here, car was a birthday/promotion gift to myself. :p

The other 2 Stingers I've seen were owned by older gentlemen, in their 40-50's.

Kia needs to be careful. No one wants their demographic to die off. Look at what happened with Mercury Grand Marquis/Ford Crown Victory, Cadillac, Lincoln, and Buick in the 90s and 2000s. The last thing Kia wants is to become the new 2010 Toyota Avalon.

As Kia strives for higher aspirations - it'll be interesting to see exactly who they're attracting with the new Kia Stinger. Please take a moment to vote based on your age group. :)
I am 23 years old. I just love cars though. Most of my money goes into all my car payments. I have several cars. On my youtube channel. It's cool to see the different ages on this poll though. Crazy to think my age range is less than 7% of them (even with skewed results).

Guilty. 66. Drove a 5.0 for 30 years. 5 speed. This is like luxury/sport heaven to my clutch foot.

A while ago I googled about Hyundai and Kia, it seemed to suggest that Hyundai tend to attract an Older demographic age as they advertise more on the luxury lines and Kia attend to attract a younger demographic age as the cars, particularly Stingers have that aggressive, sporty, powerful image.

I’d like to know how many Stinger enthusiasts are female. Am I the only one? :) Of course, I don’t drive “like a girl”...

I live in a small, remote town (Crescent City, Ca). Owner since March . Driven 7,000 miles, many trips to big metro areas. For months I only saw one Stinger in the wild. In my home town. And it's also Ceramic Silver. And it's owned by a very cool female.
