JB4 Review

lol I know it's just for posterity or if someone else reads this down the road and is confused. :)

Just have only 4800 k on my Stinger , and just order Race Chip , it should bump up performance a bit , then I will regap the plugs to . 28 as I already, run it off 94 octane , this should be ok I hope ? Thanks for the heads up on regapping the stock plugs , order the Race Chip before getting on this forum :)

Without Fuel Control and CANbus you're going to be really limited. Maybe you can return it or sell it along to the next sucker? lol.

You should regap the plugs before using it. And go smaller than .028.

It sucks that I never seen this forum before but , the Race Chip is on its way and since I run off 94 octane here at Chevron, I will try to run .24 instead .28 gap on my plugs , only looking to gain up 40 + hp and around 100 lbs extra in torque values , it was said that using NGK 7 would be a decent spark plugs to use with this application, any more advice is welcome thx everyone!

1000 mile update. So far so good. I'm using jb4 with BT connect. The JB4 is set to map 0 (stock tune) for around town. When its time to race, Map 2 awakens the beast. A little background... The stock plugs are gapped at .28, Also running an ethanol blend, about e20. (93 + e85). Overall everything runs great. When I first started using the jb4 on map 1 with 93 octane, I did notice small breakups in the lower RPMs on load. This was solved by re-gapping the plugs to .28. Overall everything is good. The JB connect is perfect. I like the stock tune with an option for kill mode. Oh, and the car loves the e-blend on the stock tune.
Wait so you mix two different fuels?

I have run both maps on my car now. I have the 3.3TT GT2 AWD. Map 1 wasn’t to noticeable over stock. Map2 feels like it gives the car more snort and feels more torquey at lower rpm’s. I have as stated in other posts haven’t ran it to long or at high speed yet for an extended period of time. I’m going to do some data logging for Burger “Terry” when I get more time to just go out and run it hard. I have installed the HKS45il plugs gapped to .024 to reduce “spark blow out” that the stock plugs gapped at .036 seem to have problems with.
Anyone running stock plugs regapped please chime in if your having issues still.
I regapped my stock, spark plugs to .22 and have had no problems whatsoever in all maps.
