Interior Color Options for the US

I love the red. I like that light gray. Unless I'm mistaken...the colored leather is only available with the Nappa Leather....and the Nappa leather is only available on the top trim level....so now I'm internally wrestling with whether or not I can settle for Black (ordinary :) ) Leather.

I agree 100% sold on red but I'm not going to buy the top trim to get it. Hoping it will be offered with the 2.0.

Sweet, if ever, I would still stick with black.

I really love the red. They hit it perfect for my liking. I taught it was going to be bright like Toyota (yuk).

Looks like the US is at least getting black, red and light gray. With "more" options (maybe brown or tan?) as well.
Thanks for the link and I followed it to see the 3 colors available for the seats, however when I tried to "build and price" I chose the chroma red but it automatically paired it with a black interior which i hope is not the case. I saw a red on red one at the San Francisco Auto show, which is the reason I've joined this group and hope to be able to have one when they become available.

Don't get your hopes up.

It appears Kia has locked the exterior color to a specific interior color (the only exception being Aurora Black Pearl on the GT1 trim, you get two choices). It is possible that will change down the road but so far we are in the "if you like blue you can have any interior color you want as long as it is gray" boat.

There are 11 Stingers now listed on the Kia website inventory page, varying exteriors with black interiors for all, yuk.

My dealer told me today that the GT1 black exterior/black interior I ordered last week now has an anticipated delivery date of nobody knows. I ordered the GT1 instead of the GT2 because of the red interior only on the GT2, while the GT1 had a choice of either a black or red interior. The problem is the black interior-- KIA wants black cars to have red interiors.

One of the dealers I've been communicating with, Prestige KIA in NJ, just called and said they're expecting two Stingers to come in on 12/9, one of which is black on black. I'm not interested, but maybe it's something you'll want to get (via pick up or dealer transfer).

Exact same situation. However, after a few more looks, the red really grew on me. I really only notice it when the sun is shining right on it. The wife likes it too

Besides the interior color issue, the GT1 lease deal is far better than the GT2 lease offering plus the GT1 offers a choice between red/black interior. GT1 AWD optioned out, 3 yr 12,000 miles, $0 down $677.00/mo, $24,759.00 residual ='s $49,131.00 (if you buy)
GT2 AWD optioned out, 3 yr 12,000 miles, $0 down $776.00/mo, $27,316.00 residual ='s $55,252.00 (if you buy)
GT1 does not have HUD, the ventilated front seats, and a few other minor extras.
HUD is available (after market) and IMO ventilated seats aren't worth 6 large regardless of where you live.

The auto trunk lift was kind of big for me as well, but decided i can open it myself for an extra 6k in my pocket

I stand corrected, actually I forgot about the auto lift hatch not being on the GT1. I agree with you and do consider that feature more than just a "minor extra", I'll probably miss it (my wife's car has it), but not enough to spend an extra 6k.
Now, in order for me to actually realize the 6k savings by leasing the GT1 over the GT2, two things have to happen: 1) I'll have to buy the car at the end of the lease and 2) have a separate account with a balance of $6,000 (done with 36 monthly deposits plus residual, no lump sum deposit). What are the chances of that happening? Ha Ha!
This could be another "Where's your Ferrari, asked the 6 pack/day man" scenario?

Interior color choice has always been my complaint. I think they really stand by Henry Ford's famous quote: "you can have any color you want, as long as it's black." Even premium brand such as Audi, also reserves the other interior colors for the higher trim levels. As for the Stinger, at least there are 3 interior color choices for the U.S. folks, we in Canada only have 2, and my significant other "strongly suggested" that I should not get the red interior. I was so overwhelmed by the many color choices and ended up picking black.
