3.3TT Jun Bl EVC Catback Exhaust

When the soot starts building up on the pipes it changes.
It definitely stinks. How does the exhaust note change? I remember with my genesis when I installed borla mufflers it got a little louder and deeper sounding.

View attachment 15339 I got my evc installed and wow. I can’t believe how quiet it is with valves closed. The cat feels like bone stock quiet even quieter then stock with cats installed. With valves open car sounds angry. Wide open throttle sound great. Inside the car can be a bit loud at low rpm but nothing I can’t live with. The shop did a very clean install and charged me for 3.5 hours. One big bummer is they scrapped my door handle..... upside is the shop owner wanted a stinger so he put my car on the dyno for free! It’s a very low reading awd mustang dyno but car still made 375whp on map 2 on the jb4. They said that’s around 430 or so whp on a dyno jet. With valves closed the car lost 15whp.
As generous as the free Dyno was, he damaged your car. Make him fix it.

I’m tired of dealerships/repair shops fk’ing up cars.

Happened almost every time I went to ford with my mustang.

Good point did he offer to fix it? Just curious how much he charged to put it in.

I got my Jun bl sport evc installed. It is awesome. The perfect medium between too loud and too soft with valves open and closed you can barely hear anything but it's definitely different than stock. Still waiting for the dps to to be shipped. I would suggest these to anyone who wants more flow and no drone.... When valves closed and little to no drone when open... Mostly resonance of the exhaust itself... Sounds as high-end as it looks...

Would love to hear so audio clips if you have them.

Where did you buy the sport version? Don’t see it anywhere

You'll have to remove the exhaust to put the downpipes in.

When I installed my dp I tried not removing the evc exhaust but found it was a whole lot easier to remove the evc exhaust. Took all of about a hour to do.

I posted the eBay item earlier in the thread. The specs are on Jun bl Korean website... Great quality!! No instructions..
Got it. Thx. I was trying to decipher the difference between the Sport and the Performance EVC but it doesn’t give much info other than the Sport is cheaper. I am assuming the Sport is louder than the Performance?

That’s what I was told. The sport is also a bit more of a lower tone. I have the performance evc and with the valves closed it’s super quiet. I have downpipes as well and still I think it’s more quiet. It’s loud too with valves open. I would not want any louder myself.

Give me a couple of days I will have them by Friday
How are you liking the exhaust? How does it sound with valves closed? In the video online it seamed louder then the performance evc and stock.

I'm really enjoying the exhaust. When the valves are closed you can barely hear it. It's definitely deeper than stock though at idle but maybe quieter when moving. Open it's deep and bass heavy at idle and rips at 6000. I gained some horses on the butt Dyno but lost some mpg cause I can't keep my foot out of it.

Nice, it’s going to get even more bass heavy after you install downpipes. Hopefully it’s not to much. I have downpipes and the performance evc and at lower rpms it’s pretty bassy in the cabin. I might add some sound deadening in the trunk.

I have the same setup, and in comfort mode I agree there is quite a bit of bass. Keeping it exclusively in sport mode however and it seems perfect for me at least. That being said I do have sound deadening in the trunk from when I had the ARK exhaust.
