Yeh but those prefilter condoms for air intake filters has hydyroscopic or whatever it's called that repels water s little. Also panty hose would break down and get soggy real quick it's too fragile.

These instructions simply mention the removal of the shroud, but It's my understanding the shroud is a key component in allowing the fan to pull air through the radiator. Is it wise to completely remove it or is better to cut a hole in it to fit the snorkels? If anyone has a picture showing that, please post. I know folks have cut holes in the shroud, but given the size of the snorkels, do you have cut them significantly for the snorkels to fit, and at that point, is the shroud no longer doing what it was intended to do?

Just found this pic of the Johnny CIA intake setup with the shroud being modified for their snorkels. Anyone attempt this?

I cut my shroud to fit around the snorkels and have not had any issues from it. I do not have any pics that I know of though.

I'll be putting on my "mcdonalds" colored duct tomorrow, or at least thinking about it. With the new wiring harness recall on Stingers... should I hold off? I looks like the wiring harness is part of the shroud, or I am wrong? If it is, what do you do with it?

Have you installed these yet? I have hichroma red and was thinking of yellow and wanted to see how these colors would work.
