3.3TT Kia Stinger 3.3TT SSR Downpipes +30WHP / +26WTQ NO TUNE!!!!! Dyno Runs and Testing

What method are people using without a lift? Can ramps get you high enough with a crawler? Got all the time in the world... But one floor jack and two stands. Thinking about ramps if they help....
I used ramps on the front, then I jacked up one side of rear on stand. That was enough space to get in there. But ymmv if you are a big dude you may have trouble getting enough space to break bolts loose. Also since u just have 2 stands this will be a pain you would need to jack up front then rear, then front then rear again for removal and install. Either get 2 more stands, or a pair of ramps to help would be my suggestion

I've never been able to use a crawler under a car on just ramps and I'm not a big guy

Yeh given how low our stingers are its tight. My front end was on ramps I barely fit with a creeper. The rear I jacked up one side only but was on the ground w no creeper.

Ughhhhh. I wanted to leave this damn thing alone... Thanks a lot.

I have a jack and 4 jack stands so that's what I use. Just get it as high up as I can with the stands and that's enough with an impact gun. If you don't have a impact gun that is still gonna be a bit of a struggle

Lol, Yup. Order placed last night. The selling point for me was the car seems to retain its stock exhaust sound (no drone) and there is a decent increase in power. I may try one of SSRs axle backs in the future because they can be swapped pretty easily, but for now I think this and the Velossa Tech ram air intakes and KN filters will make a nice, seemingly stock like package with extra horsepower.

Nice...

Sweet. Yeh sounds deeper breathes better. Dont get drone.
I just bought a 2nd hand jun bl gt. Will be interesting how it turns out w ssr dp.
Ceramic gt2 if u haven't already get them tuxmat. Those I highly recommend. Ur wallet won't

So I really want to pick these up, but just to confirm 100%, 1) there's no drone and 2) there's a somewhat notable increase in performance? Where is that gain? I feel that AWD jumps off the line aggressively, but lacks in mid- to high-end pickup (i.e., passing power on the freeway). Looking forward to input before purchasing. Thanks!

All of this had been answered in this thread. The dyno from SSR shows the power band increase.

Ordered last week, installed it today. Fast shipping from these guys.

Install was pretty straight forward. Took me about an hour on my back. Reused factory metal crush gaskets, after getting everything lined up and tightened, I used a rag with alcohol on it to remove the finger prints and smudges before it heats up and burns them in.

First drive was great. The car isn’t neccessarily “louder”, it just sounds like how the factory exhaust was meant to sound. Tone is still there, a bit deeper, and rev-matched down shifts are more satisfying. Power band has a noticeable increase at the top end.

Overall, this just feels how the car should have some. My ONLY critique, and it may be a non issue (time will tell) is the back end of the down pipes hang a bit lower than stock. But I never plan to lower my car, so I’m not worried. Enjoy the pics. Oh man, I am worried. My car has installed the Eibach's springs and is lower, so I should not install these downpipes in my car...d@mn

The jun downpipes don’t hang down Like that at the bend. They do hang down 1/2 inch more then stock though.
