Issue Number SA341 - Fast Static Gear Shift Logic Improvement (2.0 and 3.3GT)

I own a GT1 AWD and Recall SA341 was just implemented on my vehicle. I usually drive in Smart mode and I have felt no difference in response.

Do not get static gear shift update if you love how your car drives in sport mode.kia did mine yesterday when I had it in for service. Car in sport mode shifts like your in comfort with update. They are trying to figure out at dealer how to put back to stock. The update took all the aggressiveness out of sport mode.just giving you guys a heads up. If that’s what you like have it updated. But if you like the stiff snappy up and down shifts leave it alone don’t updat. Very disappointing

That update has nothing to do with how sport mode drives. It’s either in your head or something else was changed.

Not sure what having one of the first ones or giving Sal business has anything to do with this.

The update changes how the car shifts from park to sport mode.

I’m not saying you don’t feel a difference but what’s more likely that everyone else that has had this update missed that sport mode is noticably different or that something else is causing your issues or it’s a perception issue?

I like how you keep getting hung up on the in your head part when I’ve said twice now it could be SOMETHING ELSE or your perception.

But feel free to keep your blinders on and trying to solve the issue in one way only.

Brother car was spectacular in sport mode shifts before this update.so it just so happens to change when they do update. It must have some secondary effects that they are unaware of.

Had the update done a few weeks ago. Car feels the same in sport as it did before.

Had update completed, have not noticed any performance differences in any of the drive modes.

Is this a poll-worthy thread? Include if it was a shift by wire. Do you have a GT or a GT2. Was there a difference felt—yes no? Might be useful.

Gt rwd cable lsd rear. I know what my car fells like and how transmission acts . I Only drive In sport period. That’s why I am on here trying to get some feed back. When car goes from slamming 2nd gear and spinning tires to Not doing that.that is a problem for me. When I’m in sport I want it to shift fast and hard which it use to before update that’s all I’m getting at

It’s has a lag now between 1st and 2nd gear.just say this before could take in manual mode in sport to 6 grand shift to second and it went like a crazy. Now it just slide in to gear like it’s at 2 grand
