It has been a long time coming but we are extremely excited to finally announce the official pre-order release of our SSR Performance Dual Front Mount Cold Air Intakes! As you guys know we kept this project under wraps, and it was for good reason. This is the world's first true cold air intake for the Kia Stinger 3.3TT. Our in-house engineering team spent countless hours in R&D including 3D scanning, 3D design and modeling, and then finally 3D printing our custom intake ducts that make this intake possible.

As you can see, our all new front mount intakes take the filters from inside the hot engine bay and put them right where you have the coldest, most dense, air right behind the front grille. Given that the Kia Stinger 3.3TT is turbocharged, this is the best kind of air you can provide for your car to make optimal power.

Similar intakes have been used and proven on turbo motors for years now including applications on BMW's, Infiniti's, and more. This is the first time this application has been designed for use on a Kia.

For the first time ever, these intakes are available at a discounted rate!

Just got asked that by another forum member as well.. here is what I told him:

"Applications very similar to these have been well tested in the rain, so unless you're driving through a hurricane / freakish storm.. you'll be just fine :)"

So as stated, behind grille applications like these have been used for years now on BMW's (a platform we happen to specialize in) and we have never seen issues come up. With test after test being performed on them and the intakes passing every time, there is nothing to be concerned about in normal conditions. As mentioned though, it probably isn't the smartest idea to drive through an insane storm with these on, or any other open element filter intakes, for that matter.

Multiple intakes on the 370/G37 use the same design concept this one uses. Rain isn't an issue with those and shouldn't be one here.

Maybe mentioned already and I missed it but, does it require any cutting or fully bolt-on?

These look amazing. Definitely a welcome departure from what everyone else is doing. I'm in.

Did you remove the 'X' bracing from the factory intake shroud?

I know this is a little nitpicky, but are you going to offer the pipes / filters in any other colors?

Wow, that is impressive. I was going to skip CAI, I thought the cost was too high, but these.... yeah.

Just don't go racing in the rain, full throttle rims are where they will be sucking the most

Oh damn that’s nice.

If I hadn’t just ordered the snorkels I may have considered swapping the K&Ns for these.

No cutting required! All fully bolt on :)

We removed only the plastic shroud.

We do offer the intake pipes in Impact black, Fashion grey, and Gloss red

Wow very nice! The only negative I see with this setup is that the bumper will need to be removed to clean the filters. Somewhat annoying but the design and performance numbers are impressive!

Thank you for the kind words sir :) Really means a lot.

So only issue I see if for winter months up here in the North, the filters might freeze over.

I think the design is amazing i am just not convinced LOL....2 things heavy rains and winter in chicago are brutal.....i will probably to the JT route enclosed intakes.....love the design thou but for my area might not work as good

Looks very cool; just quick question, will there be an actual bracket that holds the filters up rather than the black zip ties? Just concerned the zip ties would brittle off and break.

Just saw your notes in the picture and answered my own question.

Alright. Thanks for the prompt response . Looks great.

Taking off your bumper to clean the filters is no bueno for me.....sure the filters may not need to be cleaned often, but then again exposure to just a lil moisture, and a lil dust/crud equals a mud pie filter to me........Ive got a fliter like these in my turbo diesel 7.3 that's in an enclosed air box ,and you wouldn't believe at how dirty and fast it gets inside the box:( Wash
Common sense wins on this design im thinkin

I live in a VERY dusty party of Texas and not being able to clean these without removing the bumper is going to be a dealbreaker. Shame really, they are beautiful
