Remote Start UVO or AddOn

I wanted to start a thread to see if we could identify the remote start options for the Stinger. There's a remote start option/accessory, but the 2018 Kia RIO offers remote start via the UVO app. I skimmed the car manual and the UVO manual but couldn't find a clear answer. Anyone know for sure?

I watched this the other day and it looks like it's the UVO.

At least you get the option, my Stinger has no remote start option in Australia.

Ok, that was great thank you much. I do think it's interesting remote start is moving to an app and not on the key fob.

It's an addon, well, in the states anyway. There's no option for remote start on the Stinger via UVO. You can get it added through your dealership or a 3rd party vendor.

US - AddOn

I have a genesis app on my phone that allows me to do all these features. It's a god send. I was hesitant to get a stinger if it did not have this feature, great to know it will be an option

From what I understand the UVO remote start is NOT an option for the stinger. The only remote start option is an add-on where you have to use a fob.

the Brantford Kia video? That is a Canadian dealer. All those options are available in Canada, but not the US.

It’s funny, when I had my K900 UVO was only available for the USA, now with the Stinger is only in Canada. It’s a great app(slow), should be on every KIA worldwide in my books.

I definitely have the UVO app and I'm from Hamilton Ont. It is nice having the app just because your range is basically unlimited. But having it on the fob is nice.
