About that Kia badge...

I'm coming from 10 years of driving BMWs .. also new ones, paid ones. But I wanted something different and decided to try the Stinger, as I liked it. I do not suffer from any badge issues and only giggle at people telling me why I would go from a BMW to a Kia. My only gripe with the Kia badge is the look. I do not find the oval shaped three big letter badge attractive in any way. The reason I would exchange them for is pure optics. I find the K badges better looking, but they're too close to Lexus etc, so I'd wish Kia actually changed their logo themselves to something better looking, but unique. The "E" (Ok, Sigma) badges are not pretty, either ... I don't like them. Then there's the Kia badge with the black circle, blue innards and the doublelined K .... which to me looks like an odd BMW knockoff.

So I'm stuck with the KIA badge atm ... I don't want to be thought og being ashamed by Kia, so I'm not putting on fantasy badges and I do not like the options available, that still stick a bit with originals.

Debadging doesn't work for me ... I do not like cleaned posteriors, they look oddly empty to me.

Welcome aboard, @voon! Thank you for signing up. :) What's this badge with the black circle, blue innards and the doublelined K you're referring to? It sounds kind of interesting. I'm wondering if I've seen it before...

I also wish Kia would update their badge to something more classy looking. Cadillac always seems to update their badge/logo and the current version looks really nice. I bet Kia will make changes soon. They're bringing us some really nice cars these days and I feel they're worthy of a nicer badge. So do many others...

IMHO, the best looking badge atm, which is unique, states Kia clearly and not easily confused is this Korean blue/black one linked above. It literally says Kia on it as well and the artsy double line K looks better, that the international KIA badge that is completely unoriginal.

Strangely, it can not be had on ebay. Ebay only offers the stylized K, that looks like Lexus, then a stylized Eagle in V shape that will make it look like Mazda and a whole bunch of ridiculous badges ("Luxury club", tigers, transformers whatever).

No real options atm it seems :/

The rear end of the Stinger has 2 positioning holes under the Kia badge so going clean isnt really and option either

Which is this badge that you're saying states Kia clearly but not the same as the current badge we all know? I'm guessing I've probably seen it but I'm not sure...

The one you linked. It says KIA on it :) All others are stylized stuff that could be anything to someone not knowing them.

If the front badge is oval and the replacement circular, does it fit properly?

Nothing I am aware of. Maybe Korea?
I'm doing some poking around. If I can find it, I'll add it to the store. I like that badge quite a bit. I think it's the nicest way to keep giving Kia credit and feel good about advertising for "Kia"...
