On most cars, the reservoir is clear and fluid level can be easily determined.

How does one check it on this car? Appears to have a long filler neck that's black and impossible to see the bottom.

Anyone know what the reservoir looks like?

Have a look at this thread:

Wow. So there's a low indicator, but ability to visually see level is too complicated?

Just buy a gallon and fill it up until you can see it in the neck. I never use it so I never thought about it.

I still have what ever the dealer put in 2 months ago. I rarely use the wipers/washer. Wash the glass by hand periodically, wipe dry.

In fact, concerned what the dealer put during summer is some watered down washer fluid. Will probably freeze in the winter, so will suction it out and replace with some -25F stuff.

Wtf is this ?!@# So the actual reservoir is somewhere in the wheel well?

Will be fun snaking that hose down in there.

Walmart had something like this on the shelf LINCOLN MV7241 Fluid Transfer Pump, Polyethylene, 3/8" Inlet - Walmart.com, but a more generic version.

The hose only went down so deep, so removed maybe a qt or 1/2 qt. Happened to have a smaller diameter hose that fit more deeply in, and just happened to fit the hoses (inside) that came with the pump. Removed a good 3/4 gal or 4/5's gal. It was pretty light blue too, so definitely watered down IMO. Poured in a quart of the -25F stuff. Will add more as needed, no worries about it cracking the res if it does freeze as there's plenty of room to expand.

Got you all beat. Got my '20 in Feb '20. Non-DD, always garaged. It hasn't even been driven in the rain and I have never even used the wipers. In my DD I always use RainX fluid/additive. I bet the Stinger has that blue, methanol-based crap and would replace with RainX. Siphoning out looks out of the question so someday I guess I'll sit and hold the squirter on for half an hour.

Befor washing your car, just empty the whole fluid by siphoning or holding the stick. Replace the fluid. Pour whatever brand you desire.

I'm right behind you. I think I've had the wipers on once or twice since jan 2020 when I got my car. 1st time was on the ride home from buying the car. 5,500 miles, garage kept. sometimes I go a full week without even leaving the neighborhood for an errand. very lucky!

The "low fluid" warning just came on in my '19 (bought 6/19) with 14.5K on the odo... The windshield's been freezing over in the mornings, so been using a bit more..

Or use up the fluid on a jack-wagon tailgating you on the highway. Spray (wait) [repeat] until tail-gater goes bonkers :D

hahaha... I've only had 2 cars i think where i could actually see the washer fluid reservoir... most of the others were either old and you knew when you were out... or it had a light when it got low..
