• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Racetrac? Kroger? Murphy?

Which do you prefer and why?

I tried Kroger recently in a pinch and was really surprised that it made mine feel so much smoother and more powerful than when using Racetrac.

I get mine at the Valero at 114 & 35W (near work), or the Murphy at Coit & the Bush (near home).

My car seems to run better on the Murphy fuel. Was filling up once and a guy in a cammed Camaro was on the other side. He said he tested the gas before and it was over 80%. He drives from garland to get E85 there.

What car are you putting e85 into?

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
It runs on E30 just fine.

I don't have a JB4 or anything for the Stinger, but I almost exclusively use Kroger E85 in my supercharged Regal. It is by far the most consistent product, and it's important in that car because I can't just swap tunes on the fly. I've gotten very "watered down" (much more gas than ethanol) from Valero multiple times and I will not buy it from there anymore. Nothing like watching the wideband start pegging the rich side of the gauge after dumping 16 gallons of "E85" into the car. None of the RaceTracs near me have E85 so I can't speak to that.

Let me ask the question a different way. Does the stinger have a flex senor to detect the amount of ethanol in the fuel and adjust the fuel accordingly?

I would love to be able to use E85 fuel in my car. It would easily get over 400hp, with this fuel. Bang for buck, E85 is the cheapest way to get more HP.

I have never seen E30 in Australia. Can you notice more HP with E30?

Stinger does not have an ethanol sensor, nor can it run straight E85 to my knowledge.
We don't have E30 at the pump here, but mixing ~4.5 gallons of E85 with the rest premium unleaded gives you roughly E30.
This is commonly done by folks with tunes/piggybacks that pump up the boost past what pump unleaded can handle without knocking.
