Saw this base awd gt Stinger for sale on Autotrader.


Looks like they went through a lot of work just to end up trading in the car. It does have high mileage, at least compared to the 14 or 15k on my car which is the same year. But it looks like they swapped in the gt1/gt2 gauge cluster, did a carbon fiber arm rest, wrapped the entire car, painted or powdercoated the wheels and added some kinda carbon fiber front lip onto the car. Seems like a lotta work/money to spend on a car to trade it in doesn't it?

I guess if you lost your job and couldn't pay the car note then maybe I could see it?

That’s not accounting for any possible work done under the hood/ car either. But yeah desperate times, desperate measures I guess

It is strange, how the gas cover and hood still look very glossy. The gold wheels almost match the amber side reflector but not much else. If you're going to put a CF splitter up front, you need rocker panel covers and a decklid spoiler in CF too. Yes, this project looks like it got interrupted, either by financial worries or lost interest.

its relative - maybe it WASN'T a lot of money to THEM. it could have been a daily beater for someone with a bunch of much nicer cars ... who knows?

That white square in the bumper, does that mean that the tow hook cover is gone? And that would tell me that the car has been towed.

Might be one of those dorks who puts the tow hook thing on their car to look cool or whatever.

Or they used it as a way to secure a license plate for any states that require a front plate, and didn't want to put holes in the bumper.

i've met many people at cars n coffee and other meets where people buy new nice cars, throw 10k+ of custom mods on it that is very specific which won't net you more profit when you sell, and get bored in a year and start over... insane to me, but more people than i thought do that...

I mentioned that: it looks like the main parts are satin wrap, with the gas lid and hood (and "tail feathers"?) left glossy.
