Where in the Hell are the 2019 GT2 AWD's?

I test drove a 2018 GT2 AWD and the car was PHENOMENAL. To say it met my expectations is an understatement. I just don't think it's a good idea to buy a car in its first model year. And with all the Stinger problems I've read about on these forums-I just want to wait for a 2019. Thanks for all your responses. PATIENCE.....

You are definitely in the "right" place to hear ALL of the problems that owners have. You might take that into consideration, along with the universally great reviews the Stinger continues to get. A first year model with problems (as compared to individual cars having some issues, or even problems) would not review like that. The most talked about is paint. Then extraneous noises in a car that is supposed to be quiet, etc.

Yes, I've been following various performance car forums for 15+ years now, and although they ALL report various problems here and there, the number of repeated problems I've seen on the Stinger forums here is a little bit worrying. It almost seems as though Kia has engineered a great car that they don't have the actual manufacturing quality worthy of.

There could be some truth to that, for now. They are not only raising the expectations of Kia vs other brands; they are raising the bar on their own manufacturing capabilities. I'm confident that they are working all the kinks out.

Any particular reason you are holding out for the AWD? I live in Ft Worth and instantly new I would prefer the RWD to the AWD. I'm actually on my 2nd GT2. The first was a 2018 on a lease. I just traded it for a 2019 (purchase). I will admit, I haven't driven the AWD but the RWD in my opinion, would be more fun. Especially given our weather isn't nearly as inclement as the Northern states, where you would need AWD.

Funny you should ask, just got off the phone with my dealer today and it just arrived at port so I will have it soon. Had a small delay with getting it shipped over but already have my window sticker.

Thanks! I was told that mine was being transferred from another dealer to mine, but when I looked up the VIN it was a 2018. GRRRRR. So now I am back to square 1. So frustrating.

Has anyone ever noticed that if you look at the front of the car just right, the grill looks like a mouth, the Kia Badge (or E Badge) looks like a nose, and the hood vents look like eyes? The car just smiles at you...:)
