• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Hi all. I have just taken delivery of a 2023 Stinger GT. I plan to replace the wheels and want to stick with the 19", which are better suited for the country driving I do. I plan on 8,5" front and 10" rears to suit the 225 and 255 OEM tyres. Question is, what is the recommended offset for these wheel widths I've selected, on the Stinger? I have been offered +30 front and + 36 rear. Just wanted to check if the group agree?

Howdy and welcome. 30 in front is pushing it at 8.5" wide, but with the OEM 225 tires you should be okay. I have 9.5" wide in the rear on the 255 and have lots of leeway still at 39 offset (front 8.5" wide is 40 offset, also running 225). A lot of owners run 245 in front and 275 or even 285 in the rear: offsets are either side of 35. You're going to have a stretched 255 on a 10" wheel, but not ridiculously stretched.

Thanks, Do you think I should go more, or less than +30 offset on the 8.5" fronts

The OEM offset in front on 8" wide is 34. You said that you are using the 225 tire in front. A 30 offset, as I said, will work, but "pushing it" if you want a wider tire in front. If you plan on that possibility, I think more offset is better. Also, asking questions like these always makes me suggest getting a pro tire and wheel shop involved: that's what I did: back then I didn't even know what "offset" was. :D
