Wheel/size/offset and tire/size/profile...can be confusing.

I'm fairly certain they are real. I have the original receipt and the hologram sticker still inside. Previous owner had them on a Stinger running oem tire size staggered, hence im asking if they fit squared. I have the "non Y spoke" oem rims and just not a huge fan of those...

Are you saying that the previous owner was running 225/40 front and 255/35 rear on 8.5/19+35, i.e., squared wheels and staggered tire sizes?

That is correct. Seems to be a very common thing here in Germany. It's even how it's approved from the TÜV (DOT basically). I never understood that

Nice! Genuine BBS is rarer than hen's teeth around here.

I'm about to push the purchase button but wanted a final stamp of approval from the community.

I have a '22 GT2 AWD.

I was previously going to go with 19" staggered setup but have since decided to go with an 18" squared.

The reasons behind the change are weight reduction, affordability, and convenience.

I'm in CA where the weather is nice most months of the year and the roads are decent. Additionally, I am tuned and would like to ensure ensure solid straight line traction.

With that said, I have decided to go with the following:

18x8.5 +35 Enkei TS9
255/40 Continental ECS02

Will these wheels clear the calipers without spacers?
Should I go 255/35?
Should I go squared 19?
Do I stay staggered?

Thank you in advance!

Those wheels will clear.

At times I am tempted to buy a new set of squared wheels and move on from staggered. And I think it would be what your are looking at with c. that offset and 8.5 wide 18".

What looks more satisfying to your aesthetics?

I don't mind a smaller rim and more sidewall. Others dislike that look. It's a more cushy ride and is better when you encounter the unseen pothole.

Also, I wouldn't go smaller OD than the original setup, so I'd stick with the 255/40. The fender gap is more with the 255/35 and you'll of course get speedometer inaccuracy.

Just came across this comment on Reddit:

"18s are different from 19s and 20s. The factory front struts have this dent where the inner wheel lip at, so it allows 19s or 20s with +35 to even +40 setup (say the wheel width was 8.5’). But 18’ is too small in diameter the inner lip goes below the dent thus for example 18X8.5 +35 is extremely close to the strut I’m talking about less than 1.5-2mm room, and if you put the tires on it might be rubbing already."

Should I go with +25 instead?

@Snicklefritz @Volfy

Sure, or even 30 offset, to stay safely away from the fender. I have 40 offset in front on my 8.5" wide rims, but they are 19s.

Thanks to all the input on fitment from you guys I was finally able to put the rims on. BBS 19 squared 255/35
So far so good and no rubbing. Have not driven to the limit and will report back when I do.

BBS 19 squared 255/35
What width & offset? For "perfect" square fitment you'd want a 5mm spacer up front (actually 6.15mm), but that 1/4" is so close it likely doesn't matter.

From the stock setup which is 0.5" narrower up front and 12.5mm lower offset, when you go square you're adding 1/4" to the inside & outside of the fronts (6.35mm more poke), then moving the fronts inward (or rears outward) by 12.5mm, for a net shift of fronts inward by 6.15mm or rears outward by 6.15mm.

So you'd either want ~5mm higher offset on the rear wheels, or a 5mm spacer up front (increasing their effective offset).
