For those that have picked up this unit and are exploring the settings, post your favorite settings so others can compare and try out. I'm only a couple days in with mine and am still tweaking my settings. For now i've settled on a 35/40 (F/R) for ride comfort and 55/65 for handling to give my car a Sporty but comfortable ride. Still need to test it on crappy roads but for the not so great ones in my area, it does well. More to come as I make additional adjustments.

Forgot to put an update on my initial settings. While this setting felt good on some perfectly smooth roads, it was less than ideal when imperfections were encountered. I had to make some changes after my first commute in to work with it, the pot hole hits were bad and it rattled the car, a lot! I went with a softer setting and have been tuning it since. I find I like the ride at about 30/35 (F/R) and handling at 28/42. I am still tuning it though to 2 or 3 point changes on the handling to find a sweet spot. Anyone have any numbers they want to share?

For those of us that don't know what Mando is, you care to explain? I'm guessing it has something to do with tire pressure but 55/65 PSI seems insane so that can't be it. What are we talking about?

I wouldn't mind an explanation of what Mando is too...

I gather I don't have one as I don't know what it is.

It's a handy little module that controls your ECS (Electronically Controlled Suspension). It allows you to soften or firm up the dampers beyond (and in smaller increments) than what is offered in Kia's programming of the suspension.

Thanks for that.

Sorry folks. It's the ECS (Electronic Controlled Suspension) box that is being sold in Korea to modify our Stingers with the Electronic Suspension. That box is now available on ebay and a number of folks have picked it up and have installed in on their cars. I started this thread outside of the other install thread, to have folks making changes, share their numbers so other can use to get a good setting for our cars.

Here is a look at the App setting.

You can go Basic or Advanced, this is the look of the Basic setting.

Thanks, Wayne and others for posting about this. Now I'm intrigued and want to know more! :)

Edit: BTW, here's the thread that x0t1 started back in August about Mando: Check this out!!! (ECS control module)

Great initiative. Thanks for making this thread, it will be very helpful.

In the link above, on page 12, there are a couple of videos on the installation process. The "box" is really simple to install, once you have all the components in place. The tuning will take time and a lot of trial and error.

You may also consider/mention the load factor, as weight in the car will affect it's driving behavior. I usually drive with a fair amount of weight (tools, supplies) in the car, and generally, do not experience some of the misbehavior that is so often mentioned by other owners.

Agreed load can very much change the dynamics of the vehicle. I'd imagine the setting the Kia engineers worked with were under worst case. Not trying to throw their work away but they have to work within the restrictuons and requirements given to them. At least with this module we can have settings set up for all kinds of different scenarios. Personal preference plays a role too.
