I'm thinking way ahead to winter setups (gotta think cool when it's hot out) and was wondering if anyone has gotten any 17s to work on Brembo equipped cars or are 18s the smallest we can go. I usually prefer a bit more sidewall during the winter months considering how bad the roads get destroyed by plows.

Any thoughts?

I tried an 18" wheel, but it would not clear the caliper. Going with 19" for winter tires.

Which part didn't clear though spoke to from of caliper or barrel to top of caliper?

These come with 18s from the factory as well, what was the wheel you tried?

Some 18" wheel's will fit. GT models used to come with 'em stock. BIG wheel thread on here had a bunch of options.

Yeah I saw the thread, didn't see anything smaller than 18" mentioned though so figured I'd ask.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
you could have at least photoshopped it on the car for added effect.

Wait, did no ones GT2 come with 18's stock except mine?

It was an issue with the barrel. My guess s that the base model Stingers didn't come with Brembos . The wheel I tried was Touren TR73 18x8.
Rigged up some spacers (10mm) but that made it worse:poop:

Weird I wonder if the barrels were extra thiccc. I might pop off a wheel tomorrow and take some measurements.

I am running 18s with squared 235 / 45s and really love what it did for the ride while keeping OEM speedo and ratio, Fitment was absolutely a problem, most the manufacturer said would not clear, many were unknown, and only a few were in the clear.

I posted all my info and research here: 3.3TT - Downsized to 18 inch symmetrical black Konig Control wheels with 235 /45 R18s

Nice write up! Would you care to take closer pics of the wheel's brake caliper clearance if you have time?

Pulled a wheel off today and definitely see why so many wheels have issues clearing now, that caliper is absolutely massive and the wheel would need at least 16" of diameter on the inside of it to clear it. This quickly dashed my hopes of trying for 17s but at least I know there's several 18s that can work.
