So I’m a total noob when it comes to everything lol. So I would say I have another drive or two before it hits empty, so I’m looking at the manual now. I’m I correct in saying that premium gas (most expensive one) is what is suggested for the Stinger gt1?
Stay away from the cheaper one right? Sorry if this has been posted already.

I do believe there was some discussion on this a few times. I agree with @robz32 , higher octane/premium is recommended. This is not an absolute have to (as in lower octane/non premium can be used), but I'm in the opinion that if it's recommended...then I'm doing it.

The dealer gave me a free tank of the 87.. I only use 93 and it was a very significant difference on the butt dyno and on the gas mileage.

Agreed with above - once i got that crap out of the tank my fuel economy was up about 10-15%

My gallons of gas are 93octane. Just about 4.00 dollars a gallon. Crazy!

the gas is crazy let me go on my bank i will let ya know

Crap...how many gallons can the car hold?

If I'm not mistaken, the tank is 16-16.5 gallons. Average 21-23 with about a 50/50 split of city/hwy driving. I have an AWD, so my mileage will be a little less than a RWD.

$54.00 i never had to get gas when light comes on. Good o chicago I try and get gas out of the city in burbs.

Here is the rule of thumb:

If you're going to hammer on it, use premium.

If you're going to cruise, 87 will be fine.

All premium does is help to prevent knock onset and help with detonation. No knock more timing, more timing is >=< more power

I drove across the country, twice (2900 miles in 4 days), using a mix of 87, 93+ w/ ethonal and pure 93+ (@5.95 a gallon /100+ fill up lol ) and they all were extremely similar mpg.

I can absolutely feel a difference when I'm hammering on it for sure. Premium all day for that.

Oh one more thing, i do cause i have ocd.... I will go out of my way to fill up at a "Top teir station". Actually, i will not even use non top teir gas. When I'm near home, i use a station that has a high turn over rate, which means fresher gas...

I live in the city, so I’m on eco mode seems like 95% of the time. Rarely do I get to enjoy the car at its finest. I’m still happy with the car. So I still think I’ll go premium tomorrow.

I didn’t care about the optima I had before, this one, I want to take great care of it.

It will only be a waste of you stay in eco mode brother.

I do not know where you live but in Oklahoma/Texas, the gasoline all comes from the same refining facilities.....there are only a few in the country. All gasoline is high tier here. I cannot find a dealer that does not have additives in their gas. I run Phillips 66 straight gasoline 91 oct as it is the highest Oncue in Okla has.
