USDM vs KDM Tail lights, 18-20

Has anyone disassembled the USDM tail lights for the stinger, are they similar to the KDM ones? Been looking at the KDM-spec tail lights that seem to have a black housing and shows the individual LED's and contemplating an order but not if modification is simple. First picture being USDM, second picture being KDM.

Them being a direct swap I do know, but im just wondering if anyone has tried taking them apart to modify them by chance. If you look at it, it looks like the USDM ones have a white diffuser unlike the exposed versions on the KDM tails.

Get a used set and take em apart, that's the only way to know for sure. I was thinking about upgrading to these as well. They cost an arm and a leg though. At this point, I'd rather have the 2022 KDM tail lights but that swap costs even more! Love the sequential turn signals on those.

I have a set of the 18-20 kdm tail lights available for sale. They aren’t sequential unfortunately, but they match the front turn signals much better.
