Really, that sucks. What province you in? I thought Shell launched their 93 nationwide. Have you done a good search for E85. Mix 5g’s of that to 10 of 91.

I wish I could tell you any difference that I noticed between before and after the install, however I never drove my car with the original factory setup….I ordered my Scorpion direct from Kia, and when it arrived at the dealership, they installed all of the modifications before I took possession of the vehicle.

I will say that I don’t find the sound to be loud, cheap, childish, annoying or obnoxious like some other vehicles….(Honda's or VW’s come to mind in my neck of the woods) but compared to the stock sound, I can’t really describe the difference.

So you never test drove one?

Before I ordered any of my mods, I visited the service department and spoke with their master tech and provided them with a list, and the specific details of each part and asked them about warranty implications. They had no issues with anything except they couldn’t give me the green light for installing the JB4, so no tune was performed by the dealer.
They did the complete install and I was able to drive off the lot without worrying about my 10yr 200,000 km warranty.
My dealership was and has been great throughout this entire process.

Ha ha…..no, I never test drive any stinger before I ordered my scorpion and when it arrived at the dealership it went straight into the shop to have the mods put on.

I’d like to take a stock stinger for a drive just to see and hear the difference…lol

I also have an Optima SX Turbo so I was happy with the Kia brand but read and and watched lots of articles/videos on the stinger before pulling the trigger.

It was actually the scorpion package that prompted me to order one as they were a limited run and very limited in Canada.

Hey guys I’ve heard from other that when installing these you will need to add burger motorsports EWG wires to preven overboost. Some have also said you won’t need to. Any thoughts or personal experiences?

I installed the same pipes about 3 weeks ago. Paired them with a MBRP catback, a wagner intercooler w/ their larger charge pipe & carbon fiber air ducts, AEM CAI's, BMS OCC, HKS plugs, and JB4. Thing in a beast now.

I added the fuel wires to avoid tapping into anything OEM and added the EWG as a preventative measure to avoid running into any overboost issues. Especially because from what i've heard they're even more prone to causing overboost when paired with the other mods i installed.

Aside from now having P0420/P0430 codes popping up every once in a while it's been awesome. Curious to know if you or anyone else has ever gotten these codes before with this combo?
