Looks like UltraRacing has released 3 braces to add rigidity to the chassis.

I don’t think these will make as much of an impact as sway bars but would be a good way to add a bit more tightness to the car.

All are on sale right now too.

I wonder if any stingers have tried this. I saw this and was thinking about what effect more body rigidity would do on this already solid chassis

I’ve seen people posting on the FB groups about having them but none of them respond to questions about improvements.

I’m getting springs and sways done tomorrow. I’m going to see how things improve and then decide if these are next. I’m thinking the middle one may be the best bet to start with.

I’ve always see those on old school civics that were dedicated track cars to improve the rigidity of the thin chassis.

What springs/sways are you going w/? I’ve been debating the springs but afraid changing springs without shocks aka coilovers would cause premature wear of the shocks. I’ve always outfitted my cars with coilover setups. But the lengthy post in another thread who went w/ eibachs is changing my views

I think the chasis flex is one of the weaker points of the stinger. My driveway is steep off camber and gives the car a good twist. Stinger could use these. Not as rigid as a many cars I've had .

Fugly white, tho.

Fugly white, tho.

It’s under the car, won’t stay white for long.

But I agree it’s an odd choice to spend the money to have it powdercoated white on a part that won’t be seen when installed.

Sometimes braces are good and sometimes not ,I installed subframe locking bolts on a 2004 Impreza 2.5RS and the body had some noises every now and then on rough roads .

@DaJackson, did you get your sway bars installed? If so, did the rear require dropping the sub frame?

Yeah done yesterday, getting aligned this morning.

The rear is actually pretty easy, disconnect the end links, disconnect the 4 bolts on the mounting brackets and slide it out either side. The driver side mount bolts are a bit tight to get to because of the fuel lines but the whole thing could be done on jack stands with just the wheels removed.

Right on!!!

Is your AWD or RWD, I don’t know if there are any differences between the two..

My springs are getting installed today and sways will be on their way most likely next week..

I look forward to your review!!!

RWD, hopefully I’ll get some time today or tomorrow to really get into some corners.

Initial impressions are that the springs are firmer than stock, not rough but the bounce/float after a bump is pretty much gone. So stiffer rebound but not much stiffer on initial compression.

Does this work on the 3.3TT? All I see on their website is for the 2.0T. Another brand I can find is the Luxon which is for both the 2.0 T and 3.3TT

Yes, it will work on the 3.3

Any more info on these or other manufacturers?

Every time I back into my garage (steep driveway) I hear the door squeaking in the jambs, undoubtedly due to chassis flex. Somewhat surprising, TBH.

I purchase all three of the Ultra Racing Subframe connectors, just waiting to get them installed. I saw a guy on yourtube post some ATQ subframe chassis collars from K8 Stinger. Has anyone used them an can they be used in conjunction with the subframe connectors?

Would also like to have some feedback from owners driving on w/ ATQ Subframe collars. What are your thoughts? Any improvement in cornering, initial turn in or floating feeling when driving on a road bump? What was the install time? Do you feel like it's worth it?

The frame braces reduced the chassis flex and some squeaks that went along with it. I couldn't feel the difference driving.
Both sway bars make a huge impact on turn in, handling, and taking away that mid cornier bounce.
Also going from 225s to 245s in the front improved turn in. I think the ATQ collars are BS but some people seem to like them. ATQ collars and pedal tuners....
