Transmission Shift Issue

Anyone else’s Stinger hard shifting or hesitating to get into next gear randomly while in auto? Usually if I take a turn at a higher speed it’ll hold the rpms in sport mode which is normal, but I’m talking about just regular driving on the highway or in the city, car seems off lately. The car has been hard shifting and I could feel it, very noticeable. Anyone hear of any issues/ problems occurring on the 3.3TT models?

Earlier Stingers had (or still have) a TSB to reflash the transmission logic; and this is known to smooth the harsher shifting: but also, the reflash doesn't last in some/many/most cases. Speculation as to why: your driving style includes enough Sport mode to affect the trans logic "relearning", resulting in harsher (more pronounced) shifting; or the trans logic is buggy and doesn't hold. Some have had the trans logic reflashed more than once. And some transmissions have ended up getting replaced because it isn't a trans logic issue, but a failing trans (don't borrow trouble, is a mantra I try to live by, hah).
