Thank you for the explanation and your help.those will work. a lot of owners use those tire sizes. usually on wider rims but 8" and 8.5" will fit. the front tire width is considered maxed out on an 8" wheel. the rear tire width exceeds the max recommended. that doesn't mean it won't fit, just that handling will be affected somewhat, if you are going to go for high g's in a curve.
Welcome! Just noting that I’m moving this topic out of the community lounge and into the Stinger tires forum.I am looking to buy new tires on my 2019 Stinger GT2 RWD. Stock rims are 19” I am looking to get 275/35/19 on rear and 245/40/19 on front. Will these tires fit with no issues? Thanks Hive fam.
Great input, thank you.I run slightly smaller than that at 235/40/19 and 265/35/19 since i like the look of the fronts not being as "stretched" and it gives me a tiny bit more pothole protection... however, tirerack and others have done tests and has shown that actually for the best handling around a track, a narrower tire on the same wheel provides faster times and feels better...
I just watched that vid too a few days ago. Excellent test with very useful data. Stuff like that is why I tend to buy my wheels/tires from TireRack. Well worth supporting.I run slightly smaller than that at 235/40/19 and 265/35/19 since i like the look of the fronts not being as "stretched" and it gives me a tiny bit more pothole protection... however, tirerack and others have done tests and has shown that actually for the best handling around a track, a narrower tire on the same wheel provides faster times and feels better...
