Thud sound

Bumping this up - I have been having similar sounds on my 2020 Stinger GT base for a while now, and its kind of like someone blowing over a glass bottle, especially the thunk/thud sound when going over sharp bumps or pavement irregularities, but it only happens on the front. Still could this noise just be the low-profile tires and bad NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) treatment on the Stinger? Here is a video of the thud/thunk when going over a sharp roadbump:

The more I looked into it the more I think I have sensitive hearing particular to the stinger cabin sound. I noticed that the sound is amplified exponentially on bad roads (especially concrete), and I can hear it at times on concrete or old highways. Usually my steering wheel vibrates with the noise I hear, and sometimes its unbearable. However when I am on a newly-paved asphalt highway the noise essentially disappears. Here are my posts with video examples of these sounds, and I am currently riding on the Michelin stock wheels:

Road/tire noise.

Irritating humming noise.

After watching numerous Stinger binaural drive videos on youtube, I hear the similar sound on basically every one. But this still doesn't explain why I get a very loud vibrating noise at times, although they have been very scarce (and somewhat similar to this:

Bumping this up, The humming noise is louder in cold weather it seems. Could this issue be a bad bearing or shock, or maybe a defect in the tire? It only seems to occur on the right side

(I'm feeling garrulous today; the TL;DR version is: any number of factors play into Noise, Vibration and Harshness: I've decided that 99% of what I feel and hear is normal for this particular vehicle; I'll only let myself be bothered by something that seems to portend trouble. :))

Your ears are evidently (as you've suspected) highly sensitive to operation noise in the cabin. Any change, and you're on it right now. The fact about any vehicle, even comparing the same model between two different vehicles, is that each one has its own "set" of harmonics; and changing harmonics. I remember clearly how on my return trip from Atlanta last year I heard (and swore that I felt) a new rapid pulsating, coming from the FL. And when I got back, sure enough, an inspection revealed a small section of lifted tread on the outer edge of the FL tire. When I got new front tires the noise/sensation was gone. It was very subtle, but I had already been alerted before the road trip to the fact that my front tires were about done. Several times a day I'd check the TPMS readout just to make sure I wasn't going to be ambushed by a failing tire.

When I first got my Nitto Motivo A/S on in fall of '18, I thought that they were a softer, quieter ride than the Pilot Sport. But this time, with the psi at 40, they instantly seemed a bit firmer and louder than my well worn Pilot Sport which had been reduced from a summer of driving down to 5-6 psi less than that. The Nitto Motivo now, after a couple of days, feel virtually the same as the Pilot Sport; I've adjusted my ear and seat of my pants to the changed "harmonics" of the different tires (but they've already caught me out once, drifting around a corner where the Michelins would have stayed stuck :p).

I hear a single clunk sound when the left front wheel hits a bump on my 23 all stock GT2 AWD with 4K miles. The other three wheels make thud sounds when hitting bumps but the left front wheel is more of a metallic sound. It does not matter what direction the steering wheel is turned. I hear it every time going in and out of my garage, which has a 0.5" lip above the driveway.

Bumpski... sooooo

R/F strut in any mode other than Sport has a clunk... I had to remove my Sway bar because I was convinced it was an end link and so was KIA.

No it wasn't...

If I keep it in Sport mode there is no noise from the suspension but eventually I get sick of the rough as guts ride on our aussie roads and boom the noise comes back when I am in Comfort or Eco or Custom...

Kia say no to a replacement strut under warranty as I have Eibach lowered springs and aftermarket swaybars and end links...

I said f&*%ed struts after just 25000km's is as BIG a joke as your warranty denials !!

*sigh*

My Kia dealer replaced my left front strut under warranty. The clunking sound went away.

As much as you muck around with your car, you probably don't have a functional warranty left. Just a guess.
