Hello,

I’ve looked on the forums and on YouTube on maintenance on the Stinger’s throttle body. Does anyone have any videos of cleaning it for the 3.3?

I rather do it myself than the dealer tbh. Looked at the service manual and I couldn’t find anything. My main concern is if the car has the be put in like “service mode”, or anything of that nature in regards to the cpu.

Also how often should this be done?

I’ve done it on my old Toyota but never on a newer vehicle. Thanks for any tips, video tutorials, etc. I’m a newbie:)

Good question. Wonder if there's some kind of reset/calibration process after cleaning or if it's done automatically.

~30K-40Kmi would be a good mileage to do at I'd say. Sooner if you drive in dirty/dusty conditions.

I cleaned it when it was off for intake valves cleaning. No need to put it in any "service mode", and no need for recalibrating after. There are couple of pictures ,before and after, I posted in this thread 3.3TT - Intake valves manual cleaning.

That's interesting. On the g37, not doing the recalibration led to all sorts of idle and surging issues.

Same just happened to my 2018 gt2. I decided to clean and dust around the throttle body so I unplugged it, now I have a check engine light on. I went to get the codes for the light and it came back as the throttle. Were you able to get it back to normal?

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
