Noticed this sitting in my passenger seat today:

not with an opaque paint, that would leave a dark spot equally annoying. what kind of paint are lightbulbs colored with when you want colored lights? translucent silver would probably be as close as we're going to get. my first stop would be a car parts store like auto zone or o'reilly. even an arts and crafts store might have translucent paints.

I’d leave them as-is. The fix is likely going to look worse than the scratches. You could always buy a brushed aluminum overlay kit for that and other interior pieces.

You could potentially go to a wrap shop, and see if theres a film that you like the color of that allows light to come through so you can still see the ambient lighting, but cover the chip at the same time. maybe a gloss black wrap?

You can't fix it! I had the same thing happen to mine within 2 weeks of ownership . At that point a replacement part was not available as an individual unit but only with the whole dashboard (1k €).

The good news is you can now order the silver trim only. Here is the code: 84768J5100
The bad news is the price exploded from 30€ when I bought it to 160€ now.
I changed mine by myself. It's fairly easy.

Looks like I'll have to wait too. No replacement parts for the 2022 yet.

Would be strange if that silver trim is different. That part of the dash is unchanged from 2019. Unless they changed the connector for the ambient light

True, but I'm not sure how to cross reference it yet. I don't really want to take a $200 flier.

I have a 2022. parts are the same. My daughter scratched mine a while ago. I was going to replace it, but not spending That much on something that will probably get damaged again

Where can you order it from. Mine got chipped by idiot girlfriend heels....

I bought it through my dealer because I live in the EU. You can't find it below 250 EUR over here. I simply don't understand why Kia became so cunty with this piece. From 30€ to 250€ in 2 years.
For NA I guess you could order it from kiapartsnow - 84768J5100 Genuine Kia Bezel Assembly-Crash Pad
Not sure if they ship to Canada though.

What were her heels doing on the dash?
Three guesses and none are appropriate for open forum... This is what I get for dating women half my age. No respect for cars!
