TLDR: Did you find a dealer service department that accepts mods?

Greetings...quite a few posts here, many discussing the buying experience. Mine was typical car dealer, you live through it.

But let's talk service. In particular, dealer service departments that are "mod friendly" or at least tolerant. I've seen mention of some, particularly in California and Florida, that are extremely good about it...some that even do bolt-ons prior to sale. So...can those who know of such, please post re your experience? I'm in the Seattle area, so I'd sure like to hear about one here. But it'd be good for all to know about those dealers that support the tuning community to whatever degree.

Called my dealer up late last week to ask about install springs and sways, took a few times to get it through that yes, I want 4 springs replaced. No, I will supply the parts. No, you don’t need to drop the subframe to install a sway bar... never mind, I’ll call someone else.

@YOWStinger local kia dealers are crap, they never figured out the issue with my car misfiring, they left 2 oil spots in the headliner, and they cut and did not replace 2 harness tiedowns and lost a harness bolt that holds it down to the surge tank.

Totally not surprised. I’ve owned 14 cars over the last 24 years, never met a dealer that I’ve liked. I’ve got to take mine in for the trunk TSB, I have some washers lying around though, it might be better to just do it myself ;)

Yep

@KLR STINGER mentioned: "The Kia of Brampton guys are cool. Service guys all drive modded cars. Took mine in for recall today and they loved the car and all the mods. Ask for Arjun."

Further, @KLR STINGER listed mods mentioned above as: "Catless Turbo back, full exhaust, intakes, snorkels, Fmic, meth and JB4. Wheels,Lowered , sway bars, brakes , carbon fiber Hood hatch trim."

Enough to make me want to move there.
