Test drove an Indigo special edition, but still not sure about the Stinger...

Murfreesboro TN. I believe each dealer gets one indigo edition.
There’s only 500 total. Some dealers won’t get any and some can get 2.

There at least 5 in my area alone. They all keep saying it’s a limited edition and it’s worth more. yes yes only 500 blah blah blah. So I ask them “really, so what is the residual multiplier on the car because I bet it’s no different than the other trims” They then go silent. Unfortunately there are too many uninformed buyers in my area with too much money to burn and the dealers know eventually one of them will walk in the door.

Are people really getting $37K deals on a $47K MSRP car?

Thats exactly what i did with my Indigo. I knew the week they were coming in and had already been pestering these dealerships about CPO GT's and any GTS. Most of the sales people could tell that i knew more about the cars than them. Luckily, im not employed at the moment so i was able to take a whole day to cross shop an offer at multiple dealerships. They all wanted the "new" car sale instead of working with me over a used unit. So, starting with the dealership who listed it for 41K instead of 46K, i was able to get a solid offer sheet to take to the next two places. The 2nd dealership wasnt willing to match without their own credit app, so i went to the 3rd and final place, who straight up took another 1000$ off and gave me more on trade in. I had been working with that last dealer for a few months, so i think they really wanted the sale, honestly.

But you are right, the pricing for these cars is all over the place. The used market is in real upheaval at the moment, so trade in values are also wonky.

That was Sunset Yellow. The Fed Orange GTS last year was a run of 800; less than 500 were D-AWD, the rest being RWD. This year, the Limited car is the Indigo Blue GTS. There are 800 of them. But I am guessing that, again, less than 500 are D-AWD; and other than color they are virtually identical with the Fed Orange last year.

Yea , the dealer said that 800 indigo editions were going to be made. All will be d-awd as it is not offered on rwd gt models according to the price sheet I found on Kia press release site.

Good to know, many outlets claimed a run of 500. That being said, there will be deals to be had on these for sure. They look so good. Only wish they’d make the special editions based off of the GT2.
