Photos I took on 28th October 2017 at one of my local Kia Dealerships, of a Stinger GT V6 TT in Sunset Yellow, but with a Red Nappa Leather interior, which can not be seen in the photos, the Sales Manager told me he was able early on too order any combination, he also told me this Stinger in Sunset Yellow with Red interior may be one of a kind in Australia at least. Also , this car at the time of these photos was already SOLD, too bad for the Sales Manager who ordered it that way, and wanted to drive it for a while.

I've had a lot of positive feedback from family and friends. Yesterday I took a friend out for a couple of hours and he noticed a lot of people checking the car out and mentioned that it really stood apart from all the other cars around. I was approached by a tourist from the US who was really impressed, but frustrated by supply issues over there. He got to have a sit in it and asked lots of questions. Real good stuff so far.

I'm glad to hear it! I'm still yet to see one on the road here in the U.S. but I'm anxious for the first time. So far I haven't heard anyone talk bad about the Stinger. Kia, and you, have a real winner.

This thread is just making me super jealous and impatient about the lack of Sunset Yellow in the USA. My dealer is getting one of the limited edition Sunset Yellow base GT's, but dangit I want a sunroof and the 15 speaker audio!

The 400 Sunset Yellow Stingers are going to just over half of the Dealerships in the states. The dealerships that receive the yellow Stingers won a sales contest. There is a chance it could see actual production in the latter half of the year.

Yeah but how many people even want to buy a yellow stinger where you have to pay for a DriveWise Package and LSD but don't get a sunroof and upgraded speaker system? Also the dealer I spoke to said the sales contest was called "Go for the Gold" which is cute but I sure hope when they come up for a name for this limited edition it's not the "Go for the Gold Stinger GT"

Or did you just mean the color yellow could see actual production for North America? I believe it will, but based on what happened with the first 24 hours of Kia's website configurator I have a feeling it'll only be on the GT2. Which is fine if by the time it's available I can get a GT2 for ~$46k.

Edit: Ugh, I wonder if it might actually be called go for the gold. That'd make an unfortunately perfect tie-in with the Pyongchang Winter Olympics coming up.

I don't think there is going to be an advertising campaign concerning these 400 vehicles. I think KIA is going to be watching the sales figures in Q1 very carefully and may seem some change in Q3, ie production Sunset Yellow.

KIA does actually pay attention to forums such as these for feedback and are always asking what dealers are hearing from customers interested in their vehicles.

If you are looking for a GT2 that far under invoice in the first year... could be tough.

If you want a Stinger that sticks out the feed back i'm getting is that the owners of the Sunset yellow cars are getting a lot of double takes from motorists . Obviously it stands out and catches the eye.
