I have 19,000 miles on my 2020 Stinger GT2 and the rotors are warped already. Are the rotors and pads from Brembo that come stock or just the Calipers? Also, what do you guys recommend as upgrades for the very best rotors and very best pads that you can add (Price is not a problem) for aggressive City and Highway driving? No track and I don't want any squeaking or unnecessary extra brake dust. And go...

Some pics have been posted of the OEM pads that show "Brembo" on them; and other pics not. We know that the US spec is to be quiet and low dust, whereas the European spec pads are noisy and dusty but grip really well under hard demand: the Speed Week Stinger got replacement European pads after test drivers complained that the brakes were fading too quickly (I don't recall any complaints about brake *shudder* during Speed Week). There are a ton of posts on this topic already. This is the go-to thread: FAQ: Vibration under braking: warped rotors? NO! Your rotors are not warped, they have pad deposits on them and possibly areas of cementite (although that is rare unless you track the car).

If you're doing the work yourself, I'd strongly recommend swapping the pads with something like EBC yellow or red, and see after bedding if the vibrations stop. Your rotors could be fine. If paying someone else to install, then you mind as well get rotors and pads swapped. Doesn't take too long to swap rotors since you're already in there. But no sense buying new rotors when the stock ones are decent, if you don't have to.

Also, there's been a shit ton of threads and posts on this subject. Give the search function some exercise, "brake rotors pads vibration" should suffice. And go...

OEM Brembo are "high carbon" and ~$100-110 each. Probably best bang-for-buck. Avoid R1.

Best all around? EBC floating are like $500+ each.

It seems like it's the OEM pads that cause the problem. Euro pads are like $500+ for a set, which is insane. I hear good things about PowerStop Z26 (have a set, haven't installed them yet) for street driving.

Hey BiggyGritz,

I would highly suggest swapping out your stock pads for an upgraded set. The front pads are known for causing shaking of the vehicle. I know I experienced this, as well as many others, on my Kia Stinger before swapping pads to ones that we carry here at the K8 Stinger Store. If you send us an email at Sales@K8StingerStore.com, we can help put together a kit that would work well for your needs and it will be a lot better than your stock pads.

Cheers,
Daniel

The braking performance of the Brembo's 4 piston front/ 2 rear is very linear which I like. Very easy non agressive on light application. However step on them and they sure do have a bite and pull the vehicle quite instantly. The brake pedal feel is always firm which is good.

After researching, I am thinking about going with the EBC Red Stuff Brake Pads from David at the K8 store, all around and get KIA to replace the rotors under warranty, so I can start fresh. Has anyone tried these yet? Are these the best for aggressive street driving? I don't want pads that take forever to work until they heat up and then squeak a lot and have excessive brake dust but the stock pads have got to go.

i liked the Girodisc Magic pads i had on my Evo, but it looks like they only make fronts for the Stinger ... what do people use for the rears if they use Girodisc fronts?

no Redstuff or Yellowstuff ... had them on a previous car and they pissed me off.

Why did they piss you off? Details please...

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

they scored the hell out of my rotors. pretty sure they've been reformulated since then, but F them.
