Stinger sales numbers for February

looks like the Stinger is taking the Optima sales away. But this is good to see.

What surprised me the most is the Niro's sale. I would expect people in the US likes the Niro. Hybrid, crossover, SUV and all. I think it's a better car than the Sportage.

Too small.
American people have a taste for big things.

ha, good point! didn't think of this.

I remember running this marathon, it was 2 laps around a Ford F150. Then just went home in a family car, the Fiat 500.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
These mini suv that are popping up are the most pointless things, loads of them don't have 4x4 and are just a small car on stilts.

Just get an estate car or a flat bed lorry. lol

I travel across Kansas every year enroute to Colorado on I-70. I am amazed at the people who are driving these tiny little UV's with roof racks, mini-trailers and all kinds of extra cargo holders because their UV's don't have enough room to haul their gear on vacation.

Yet that is the trend, most likely because they provide better visibility amongst the whales out there, and are easy to enter and exit for many people.

Personally, I really like the Niro. Drove one as a loaner last year and while it was not my Optima SX, it was a rather nice ride. We plan on buying one next year when my hubby gets moved to largo, MD (150 Miles+ per day, 2 days a week commute). We are hoping the Niro EV will be out by then.

Keep in mind the Sportage has 0% interest for 75 months and high incentives while the Niro does not. Kia is pushing the Sportage hard right now with incentives. Out of the 6 new cars I personally sold this month, 3 were Niro PHEVs, but they are such limited production that there aren't any left for us to sell now.

I think I prefer Al Picanto to Robert de Niro.

I thank you.

I'll go now.

Yes. Naturally. The Optima finally has a proper upgrade path...

Just so you know - these little UVs aren't considered "Sport Utility Vehicles". I know you don't like that term. I remember you mentioning that there's nothing sporty about them. They're actually called CUVs - Crossover Utility Vehicles. :)

Glad someone realized their true nomenclature. Now to get the whales renamed to something appropriate to their form and function.....

Uh, interesting.

I really like the Niro and would have gone with that if it weren't for the Stinger.

However, I can see that in Korea there is more hype around the Ioniq than the Niro.

Some perhaps, but certainly not all. If your top range is $25-&30k, and you want mileage, a roomy back seat and lots of create features, Optima...

The entire industry is seeing a major hit to the midsize family sedan market in a massive way. Rumors Ford may let the Fusion die on a slow vine, take profits and walk away for now (Ford does this all the time - and I can’t stand their lack of competing and long term vision for their car market...).

People are diving into crossovers and multiple sizes of SUVs in waves...

They make sense and are practical ...................they suit a huge cross section of the NA population ..............for over 10 years now we have had an SUV and some form of a car . If the Stinger GT in Canada was not AWD with a good sized hatch we would have 2 SUV's now .................

If I could afford it and even justify it, I would have gone with that enormous new Expedition instead of the Sorento! Lol that thing is great looking.

UV's are a totally different market -- oversized station wagons with poor fuel economy and handling. If you need a station wagon, OK. Driving them is a bit like riding on a hippopotamus on roller skates -- as long as you're headed in one direction, fine, but don't try to do anything else with it. If you need the room, you're screwed. I have no love for UV's. JMHO. My kids are long gone and it's just the wife and me. Gotta enjoy life while I can.
