Hi,

Not sure if this has been posted before. Likely it has, but I'm not digging through the threads. haha

Just wondering if Kia's paint (specifically on this car) is hard or soft? Trying to assess it's tolerance to polishing or compounding and how aggressive you have to be compared to other manufacturer's paints.

Thanks

I’ve used clear safe compound (McGuire’s ultimate compound) and polishes (chemical guys optic) quite aggressively (pad and pressure) with no issues.

I used Sonax Perfect Finish, and got some good results - very soft pad and an orbital. Seemed to work well.

Anyone know what TYPE of paint (acrylic, lacquer etc.)?

I've never used those, You think VSS with a green pad would be aggressive enough?

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

can’t recall what the vss is. I used mcguires ultimate compound with the orange, and V38 with the blue pad, then the black pad (which has zero cut) as a finishing with a little V38 and their pad conditioner. Pretty much medium speed on everything.

Its their scratch and swirl remover, definitely cuts more than the v38 but not as aggressive as the v34. Ill have to try it with the blue pad first. Sadly I have to wait for the summer cause I'm not doing it in ohio winter lol.
